Dear Fabulous Families,

I am excited to share that the cold snap has come to an end! With temperatures warming up, we can enjoy outdoor recess again. Fresh air can really boost everyone's spirits during the school day!

This week marks the beginning of our universal testing window, which occurs three times a year. During this cycle, you can expect a letter from Megan Grube outlining a new literacy law in Vermont. Once the letter is finalized, I will send it out on her behalf.

Also, I’m thrilled to announce that our 5th and 6th graders will have a dance on Friday, the 17th! Please note that there will be no enrichment classes that day. Kindly send any updates to your dismissal plans to wildcats@gisu.org. To keep you informed, I’ve updated the family calendar with all the important details, including the 6th grade visits to schools. Additionally, please save the date for the CIUUSD Board meeting on January 14, 2025, at 6 PM. We will discuss budget plans for CIUUSD, and I will share the meeting link, just as I have for previous board meetings.

As of right now, it looks like the 100th day of school will be February 4th. We will keep you posted of any activities that are planned for the day.

I am working with Folsom to set up a visit, and I should know soon when that will happen. I will send out an updated permission slip for families who want their kids to attend that trip. I am still waiting to hear from Essex on bussing times.

As you complete your forms, please send them into Ms. Paula or I. We collect them for Mr. Mills, who is out and due back later this month. I will deliver all of the forms to him when he returns.
