Hawk Happenings
October 2024
Dear Spring Lake Families,
Our Character Trait for October is: Respect
"Treating someone how you want to be treated."
Welcome to the busy month of October. We have a lot of exciting events and important dates to share with you this month.
Picture Day is this Thursday, October 3rd. You can order pictures online at Bellphoto.com (Prepay Code: SpringLakeES24). If your child is unable to attend, or if you are not satisfied with the intial photos, a retake day has been scheduled for Thursday, November 7th.
SEP Conferences: SEP conferences are on Thursday, October 3rd. There is still time to sign-up and meet with your child's teacher. You can find the sign-up links on our school website. We are looking forward to visiting with you about your child's success.
PTA Sponsored Fundraiser: Join us on Monday, October 28th for a spooktacular evening at our Family Fun Run! Come support our PTA and enjoy a night of fun with family and friends as you run or walk through our Halloween-themed course.
Red Ribbon Week (Oct 28th - Nov 1st): This year, Red Ribbon Week will focus on strengthening family ties and promoting healthy, drug-free lifestyles. More information about daily activities will be sent home soon.
Reflections Contest: This year's theme is "Accepting Imperfection". This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and express themselves through various forms of art. Every participant will receive a prize. All entries need to be submitted by October 21st.
Dress Code Reminder: As the weather changes, please remind your children to dress appropriately for the cooler temperatures. Hoodies and beanies are allowed, but please ensure that hoods are not worn over the head while inside the school building. Similar to our no hats policy, these items can be worn outside.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events. Go Hawks!!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Coral Lee Findlay
Donations for the 2024-25 School Year
This is just a friendly reminder to pay your $25 per student donation for the year. If you can't pay the $25/student, any amount will be appreciated. We have received $3,850, averaging $3/student. Donations pay for student supplies, field trips, reward assemblies, and many more things. You can make a donation in iCampus or in the front office.
Thank you for your continued support!
