The end of the first marking period is this Friday!

Are your grades above 60%? If not, you'll be eligible for marking period credit recovery through Edgenuity. Please understand, that is a bit more work than what your teachers are assigning you AND you'll have to keep up with marking period 2 class work while also completing marking period 1 recovery 😬

Now is the time to make sure you check Schoology and look at your grades to see what is missing and what you can still turn in so you don't have to double up!

As we focus on grades this month, as stated above, now is the time to make sure you end marking period 1 with the best grade you can get!

Next Monday will be a brand new marking period and Schoology Grades will reset.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind as we turn the page:

• use your "empty" blocks in your schedule to complete work and/or study
• be sure to attend all scheduled Google Meets
• take notes when you're in class when new information is shared
• participate in class
• Stay organized! Schoology is 'home base' - be sure to check your courses daily!

Next Wednesday (October 30, 2024) we will be hosting a Fall Popcorn Festival for our students. We will have a popcorn bar where students can create their own blend of popcorn mix along with activities such as:

• Virtual reality
• Rock painting
• Table games
• Corn-hole

Water will be provided.

The event will be from 1:30 - 2:45 and will be in the PD center. Students can follow the sign and the balloons. As a reminder, parents will need an ID to pick up your student(s).

ATTENTION SENIORS there is a Job Fair time change. If you have signed up to attend the Job Fair please note that all students from CHS, GMHS, & LHS will now be attending the Job Fair from 9am-10am. Forrest Center students will attend during their mid day session.

Your Career Liaisons/Advisors will be in contact with you to update your permission form. If this time change now allows you to attend, please go to the Career Center to see if space is available. Remember, this is an excellent opportunity for you to meet with local business representatives and potential future employers. As the year goes on, you're certain to collect more documents. Before your Drive gets out of hand, consider renaming your folders in Google Drive, color coding them and even adding an emoji to the title! Review the attached picture for information on how to do this!
