Attendance Matters
Every day in school is an opportunity for your child to learn, grow, and connect. Consistent attendance helps them stay on top of academics, but it’s also key for building friendships, developing social-emotional skills, and feeling part of our school community. The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) considers 17 or more absences—whether excused or unexcused—as chronic absenteeism. Frequent absences can make it challenging for students to keep up, both academically and socially.
When students are here regularly, they have more chances to connect with classmates, build strong relationships, and practice the social skills that are important for their development and future success. Of course, if your child is sick, please keep them home to rest and recover. But whenever they’re well, we encourage them to be here, ready to learn and grow alongside their friends.
Thank you for supporting your child’s learning and well-being by making every day count!
Celebrating Success: Encouraging Responsibility, Respect, and Achievement!
We’re halfway through the nine weeks, and it’s not too late for students to reach the 100 points needed to participate in our PBIS celebration! Encourage your child to check their points and set goals—each one brings them closer to celebrating their achievements. We’re so proud of their hard work, both academically and behaviorally, as they strive to be responsible, respectful, and proactive problem solvers.
Thank you for supporting our students in reaching their goals and celebrating their success!
Last Full Week for the Canned Food Drive for the Montgomery County Christmas Store-Collection Is Open Until Nov. 18
We are excited to announce that we will be collecting canned food donations for the Montgomery County Christmas Store to help support families in need during the holiday season. When considering your donation, please keep in mind that items high in protein, such as canned meats, beans, or peanut butter, are especially helpful and have a long shelf life. Your generosity will make a real difference for families this holiday season, and we greatly appreciate your kindness and support!
All In Tutoring Students
Please remember that ALL In Tutoring dismisses at 5:00 PM. It’s important to be on time for pickup so that everyone, including our teachers, can get home in a timely manner.
For students taking the bus, please ensure an adult is visible at the common bus stop, as the driver will only release children when they see a responsible adult (unless prior arrangements have been made with us).
If your child will not be staying for tutoring, please send a note or call the office to let us know. Snacks are provided to all students staying, so it helps to have an accurate count.
Thank you for helping us keep All In Tutoring safe and organized!
