School Council
Please consider being part of the continuous effort to improve our school. Community input is needed in determining the direction of education for our young people. We are in need of parent volunteers for our RLM School Council this year. If you have a child at the school and would like to serve as a representative on the council, please contact us at mchmielinski@wbridgewater.com. Meetings generally last an hour or less and take place after school. It is a good way to be involved in the improvement of our school.

Folktales From Around The World And Back
Storyteller Muriel Johnson entrances audiences with a plethora of age appropriate multicultural and African Diasporic fables, folktales and songs. All stories have interactive components with movement, singalongs, claps or chants. Each tale is crafted to suit the audience age level and the desired theme. Tales embody themes of friendship, how things came to be, overcoming obstacles, diversity, cultural norms of “others, etc. Stories range from West African Anansi stories embedded with moral lessons to clever native American Trickster tales and everything in between.
Raising MultiCultural Kids
We are excited to have our Diversity Leaders in classrooms the past two weeks. They spent time in classrooms getting to know the students.
RESPECT
At RLM School, we believe that developing students' social-emotional skills is just as important as their academic growth. This October, we’ve focused on the theme of RESPECT to help students connect with what excites them and motivates their learning. Through classroom discussions, students explored the meaning of passion, reflecting on how their unique interests can drive them to achieve their goals.
Each day during morning announcements, several students shared their personal definitions of respect, spoke about what they are passionate about, or explained how their passions help them in their daily lives. These conversations have fostered a sense of belonging and excitement in our community as students learn more about themselves and each other.
By focusing on SEL, we are equipping students with the tools they need to manage emotions, build positive relationships, and set meaningful goals—skills that will serve them well both inside and outside the classroom. Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing SEL initiatives, as we continue to nurture our students' emotional and social well-being.

First and second grade classes were excited to welcome back Christine from Little Bee Yoga, who visited last spring. Each class participated in a thirty minute, engaging journey to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Each lesson blended playful yoga poses, breathing exercises, and interactive games to help children develop focus, coordination, and self-awareness. learning how to focus their brains and bodies in a calm but fun manner. Thank you PTO for supporting our little yogis!
