All dates you see below are on the calendar located on our website.
Each event below has a label on which group is participating.

(All) Holiday Band Bazaar - Saturday, November 23
- Set Up - Friday, November 22
- Bazaar - Saturday, November 23

(JB1/JB2) D3 Jazz Festival - Thursday, December 5
- Columbia High School
- Students are excused from the day to watch other groups/cheer each other on. (student have the option to go to class if desired/needed until it is time to leave on the bus around 11:45am)
- We have a tradition of going to breakfast before D3 Jazz. This year, we are taking a bus and don't need to be there until 12pm.
- Full itinerary will be emailed out within the next two weeks.
- Jazz II Performs at 1:05pm
- Jazz I Performs at 3:20pm
(JB1/JB2/PE) Jazz and Percussion Night - Thursday, December 5
- Call Time: 6:30pm
- Performance Starts: 7:00pm
(CB/SB/PE/JB1/JB2) Winter Holiday Concert - Wednesday, December 11
- Call Time: 6:30pm
- Performance Starts: 7:00pm
Fundraisers
West Ada - Winter Raffle - ends December 31st
- The band page is NOT available yet. It will be live within the next couple days.
- $50/ticket -- get a free extra ticket when you purchase four tickets in the same order. (Buy four get one free)
- Funds go towards individual sellers and their fees for the California Tour -- roughly 94% profit per ticket. Any funds raised by December 19th will be applied to payment #2. Funds raised after December 19th will be applied to payment #3.
- Make sure to put the student's name when checking out!
- If you would like to purchase raffle tickets just to go towards the general band fund, please specify that when checking out.
Annual Holiday Band Bazaar
- Please consider volunteering, donating to the bake sale, sharing the event on your socials, and/or attending this event. Funds raised from this event helps pay for feeding students throughout the year at our events.

Boise State Concessions
- Our band boosters have been working a lot to get money to help fund ALL of our band students. Please consider volunteering for a concession date!

- Adults or Students 16 or older -- if you are interested in helping with Boise State Concessions, join the BAND app group HERE
Donate Directly to MVHS Bands - any amount helps!!
- By check made out to MVHS Bands dropped off to Mr. Barro or the front office bookkeeper.

Spring 2025 Music Department Tour to California - Trip Payment Schedule
Trip payment due dates:
Deposit: $50 - Overdue
Payment #1: $250 - Overdue
Payment #2: $250 - Due Thursday, December 19
Payment #3: $250 - Due Thursday, February 6
Payment #4: $150* - Due Thursday, March 6
*Payment #4 can fluctuate either higher or lower depending on how many students attend vs how many buses we need
All payments can be made online on MySchoolFees or via check/cash. If paying by check, make it out to MVHS Bands.
If paying by cash, please put it in an envelope with the student name and payment # OR drop it off to the bookkeeping office before school, during advisory/lunch, or after school.
Please Note: This is the last call for students interested in going on the trip! After our second payment, the rosters will be finalized for the trip!
