One of the many blessings of being at Forestdale School is to experience the pure excitement of students who are 3-8 years old. I am thrilled to finally have our playground Communication Boards installed. Playground Communication Boards display symbols, words, or images, often organized into categories, which children and adults can use to communicate. These boards are designed with visuals that help children who are nonverbal, have limited speech, or have disabilities that affect communication. Users can point to symbols to express feelings, needs, or make requests, making it easier for them to interact, socialize, and play with others.

On Thursday and Friday, November 14th and 15th, PTA will host a book fair at Forestdale. Each classroom will be scheduled to attend over the two day event. Families are welcome to join students when their classsroom is scheduled to attend.

On Wednesday, November 27th, we will hold our annual Turkey Trot run/walk for all students. The event will begin at 10:00 am, starting in the bus loop and traveling around the back of the building and finishing back inside the bus loop. We welcome families to join their students during the run/walk.

We will also celebrate Wellness Day by dedicating all activities throughout the day supporting personal wellness among students and staff.

Wednesday, November 27th @ 10:00 am/families are encouraged to attend and participate in the annual Forestdale Turkey Trot. This is also a half-day of school. Dismissal begins at 12:20 pm. No lunches will be served.

Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th students are on Thanksgiving Recess. Students return to school on Monday, December 2nd.
