Students Not Attending North Andover in the Fall 2025

If a student will not be attending North Andover Public Schools for the upcoming school year, parents/guardians will need to notify Mrs. Barron as soon as possible by either email or coming into the main office of NAMS. At the end of the school year your student’s records will be forwarded to their new school. Please contact Mrs. Barron with any questions at barronm@northandoverpublicschools.com

This past week was Compost Awareness Week. Thanks to the leadership of Ms. Gordon, Ms, O'Connell, and our NAMS Green Team we routinely recycle and compost during our student lunch blocks. This past week, the Green Team received soil that was created over time from our composting efforts at NAMS. One of the plants in my office is doing much better after being replanted in this rich soil.

Registration opened on Thursday, May 1st and we have spots available at this current time for all grades.

Our 6th Grades have 1 more day of MCAS and our 8th Graders still have 4 more days of MCAS. We need your help in the following ways:

• Be sure to encourage your child to have a good night’s sleep prior to their scheduled MCAS exam.

• Students must charge their chromebooks overnight so that they are fully charged for MCAS testing.

• If your child’s Chromebook is damaged or not working, please complete an IT Ticket here or families can send an email to support@naps.freshdesk.com.

• We encourage all students and families to make a concerted effort to be at school on time prior to their scheduled MCAS exam, by 7:35 a.m. Tardy students may not have the opportunity to test with their homeroom group if they arrive after the start of testing for that day.

• Please be sure that your child has a healthy breakfast.

• Students must bring a book or magazine to read after they have completed their test. No electronic devices will be allowed.

• Cell phones and other electronic devices, including smart watches, are not permitted during the testing sessions. Cell phones and smart watches should be locked in lockers.

• If a student is absent, he/she/they should expect to be scheduled for a make-up exam when they return to school.

Attention NA Community - Support Our Seniors

Every year, the North Andover community pulls together to provide a safe, fun-filled, substance-free, overnight celebration for the entire North Andover High School graduating class. This year’s May 30th “All-Knight” Graduation Party sponsored by Support Our Seniors, Inc. (SOS) marks the event’s 30th anniversary, making it one of the longest running of its kind!

The annual efforts of a dedicated committee, dozens of volunteers, and generous donations of food and funds by numerous local businesses and individuals highlight how much this tradition is valued in our town.

Please help keep this wonderful tradition going, and one day soon you’ll sleep well knowing your own child has a safe place to celebrate on their graduation night. Please sign up at SOS Volunteers.
