Dear Saint Patrick Catholic School Families,
I wanted to take a moment to share more about a special program we hold each week at Saint Patrick Catholic School—our Virtues Program. As part of our commitment to nurturing both the minds and hearts of our students, we focus on a different virtue each week to help our children grow in character and align their actions with our Catholic values.
Each Friday afternoon, the entire school gathers to learn about and discuss the weekly virtue. What makes these meetings truly special is that they are often led by our students, who take turns presenting, acting out examples, and engaging their peers in fun and meaningful activities. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to take on leadership roles while learning about important life values.
This week, we are focusing on the virtue of Circumspection. Circumspection means thinking carefully about possible consequences before acting. We are teaching our students to pause and consider how their words and actions may affect others, encouraging thoughtful and mindful behavior in both their studies and relationships.
Looking ahead to next week, we will turn our attention to the virtue of Respect, which involves treating others with kindness, honoring their dignity, and appreciating their differences. We believe that fostering respect is essential to creating a caring and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued.
We encourage you to talk with your children about the virtues they are learning and see how they are putting them into practice both at school and at home. By working together, we can help our children grow not only in knowledge but also in virtue, shaping them into compassionate and thoughtful individuals.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us build a community rooted in faith and character.
Many Blessings,
Rick Logue
Walk-a-thon Out of Uniform Day
Congratulations to our Walk-a-thon participants who earned an Out of Uniform pass!
All Saints Day Mass - November 1
We will be attending All Saints Day Mass on Friday, November 1, at the church. Please note that this will require a change in uniforms for that week. On Wednesday, October 30, there will be no school Mass, so students should wear their regular uniforms, as they typically do on Mondays and Fridays. On Friday, November 1, students should wear their Mass uniforms.
We also want to extend a warm invitation to all parents and family members to join us for this special Mass, as well as any other school Mass throughout the year. If you are able to attend, we would love to see you there!
🎃 Halloween Parties & Costumes
Our classroom Halloween parties will take place on Thursday, October 31. Students are encouraged to wear costumes, but please remember that the majority of the day will be spent in a classroom setting focused on learning. It is essential to maintain an educational atmosphere for most of the day, even as we celebrate Halloween. Therefore, costumes must adhere to the following guidelines:
- No masks that cover all or part of the face
- No blood or gore
- No violence or weapons
- No inflatable costumes
- No inappropriate costumes
The principal will make the final decision on whether a costume is acceptable for school. If a costume is deemed unacceptable, we will do our best to find a solution at school. If it cannot be corrected, parents will be contacted to bring the student’s uniform.

🍕 Cafeteria Volunteers Needed
We’re looking for parent volunteers to assist in our school cafeteria! Your support helps us provide a smooth and enjoyable lunchtime experience for all our students. Volunteering in the cafeteria is a great way to get involved in our school community, meet other parents, and make a positive impact on our students’ day.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Rick Logue, Principal, at rlogue1@cdeducation.org or call 740-852-0161. We would love to have your help.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our school!
