The Wallin Way Weekly Newsletter
December 13th, 2024
Good Evening K9 Families,
What a week its been!
We wrapped up this week with iReady testing—great job to all our students! We also had the privilege of seeing our 4th and 5th-grade students shine during their winter music concert. We couldn’t be more proud of all their hard work and the incredible performance they delivered!
Looking ahead, we have an exciting and jam-packed week in store. Our PTA Holiday Shop kicks off next week, and a huge shoutout goes to our amazing PTA for organizing this! We are still in need of parent volunteers to help make it a success. If you’re interested, you can sign up by clicking THIS LINK. Next week also brings our winter parties and our much-anticipated all-school assembly to wrap up the week with a celebration of our school community.
Lastly, a friendly reminder that final submissions for the yearbook cover contest are due on the last day before winter break. We’ve loved seeing our students' creativity shine, and we can’t wait to see the final designs!
It’s going to be a fantastic week—thank you for your continued support!

Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
Morning Drop Off
We kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones when dropping off students. Please be sure to pull into the designated car line to ensure a safe and smooth drop-off process for everyone. Following this procedure helps keep traffic flowing and ensures the safety of all students.
Additionally, please avoid pulling up to the front of the school before 8:30 a.m. Arriving early causes our preschool parents to get stuck in the car line. To help keep traffic flowing smoothly, please wait until after 8:30 before lining up to drop off students.
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
