PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Principal's Message
Dear Boulder Creek Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Boulder Creek School! We hope your summer was filled with memorable moments with family and friends. It is both an honor and a privilege to return for my ninth year as your principal, serving this exceptional and student-centered community.
As we gear up for the new school year, I am excited to reconnect with familiar faces and meet all our new Boulder Creek families. If you see me around the school—before, during, or after school—please feel free to introduce yourself. Building strong relationships within our community is important, and I encourage you to connect with other families as well.
Join us for Back-to-School Night on Thursday, August 22nd (time to be announced), where you’ll have the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and learn about the curriculum and expectations for the year. Additionally, we would love to see you at the first Boulder Creek Parent Club (Boosters) meeting, with the date and time to be announced soon. This is a wonderful chance to get involved, support our students, and contribute to our school community.
To help you prepare for the year ahead, please review the updated Enterprise Elementary School District and Boulder Creek Student/Parent Handbooks available on our website. These handbooks contain essential information about school procedures and policies that will be useful throughout the year.
Our staff has been working diligently over the summer to ensure we are ready for a fantastic year. The strength of Boulder Creek lies in the collaboration between teachers, students, and families. We appreciate your continued support as we work together to help your child succeed and grow. We are honored to be entrusted with your child’s education and look forward to a rewarding school year.
Here’s to a successful and inspiring year ahead!
Warm regards,
Tina Croes
If you are new to Boulder Creek and haven't met your administrators yet, WELCOME!
left to right ... Jeff Arndt (Asst. Principal), Tina Croes (Principal),
and Elise Towers (Asst. Principal)
Our returning families are going to notice new faces on our Administrative Team. We welcome Assistant Principals, Elise Towers and Jeff Arndt to the Boulder Creek Family! Mrs. Towers comes to us after serving for many years at Parsons Junior High as Assistant Principal. She will get the opportunity to interact with and serve all families, of course, but her primary focus will be with our primary grades. Mr. Arndt has years of junior high experience at Pacheco. His focus will be on our intermediate and upper grades. We are thrilled he joined the Enterprise Elementary School District and Boulder Creek! They can't wait to meet our students! Be sure to say hello to Mrs. Towers and Mr. Arndt when you see them.
At Boulder Creek, we reinforce all positive character traits. Each month of the year, we shine the spotlight on a specific trait. In August, we will focus on RESPECT. Throughout the month of August, we will be discussing the trait of RESPECT and what it looks like both in and out of school. Join us by reinforcing RESPECT at home!
BACK-TO-SCHOOL-NIGHT
CLASS LISTS
WHEN AND HOW WILL I LEARN MY CHILD'S TEACHER AND CLASS LOCATION?
All parents will have access to their child's teacher's name and classroom number in the Parent Portal on Friday, August 9th. Teacher's room numbers and school maps will be posted in the front of the school to assist families in finding rooms.
Unfortunately, we will NOT be able to move students to a different class. K-5 teacher requests were taken back in May. There is no way to honor everyone's first choice, but we always do our best to honor one of your choices if you completed a teacher request form. Any changes in staffing beyond May are out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.
PARENT PORTAL LOG-IN
All parents, including new parents, should have logged into the Parent Portal at some point already. Why do you need to create a parent account? This is a secure platform through which you will view your child's teacher/class, receive your child’s report card, complete enrollment, and complete the necessary beginning-of-the-year school forms like your child's emergency card. In the future, this is also how state testing results will be communicated.
Click HERE for the link to the parent portal. If you cannot log-in successfully, please call our school's office at 224-4140. Be sure to keep your log-in information in a safe but accessible place.
IMPORTANT NEWS!
HAVE YOU COMPLETED YOUR BEGINNING OF YEAR REQUIRED FORMS? START NOW!
All parents will need to complete the yearly required school forms. Most importantly, an updated 2024-25 emergency card needs to be on file for every child.
Please begin completing ALL electronic forms as well as additional paper forms, if necessary, within the first week of school if not sooner. Click HERE for complete instructions about completing Beginning-of-Year Forms. *Sometimes using the Parent Portal App presents people with problems when trying to complete forms. You should have no problem if you sign onto the Parent Portal without using the app.
Boulder Creek is in competition with the rest of the EESD to be first to have all Beginning-of-the-Year Forms completed. Thank you in advance for helping us accomplish this goal!
REQUIRED SCHOOL VACCINATIONS
Incoming 7th graders, TK and Kindergartners, and other new students:
California school immunization requirements remain the same. Please take care of completing these as soon as possible. Students who are not current on vaccinations and who do not have a medical waiver will need to be excluded from school until requirements are met in accordance with state law.
If you missed our district's clinic, there are many convenient locations that provide vaccinations, including pharmacies at Rite Aid, Safeway, etc. Often, no appointment is necessary.
Please contact our health clerk, Andrea Wilson at awilson@eesd.net if you have any questions.
Thank you.
SCHOOL SHOPPING
Please see the dress code from our Parent/Student handbook when buying school clothes. These and other resources can be found on the Boulder Creek School's website.

DROP-OFF/PICK-UP TIMES AND PARKING LOT PROCEDURES
Where/when should I drop-off and pick-up?
Grade-Level Start and End Times
We are happy to welcome our students on campus for breakfast as well as on the playground before the start of the school day this year. The earliest drop-off time is 7:30 a.m.
Regular Day - School Start/End Times:
4-8 grades begin at 8:00 a.m. - 2:14 p.m.
K-3 grades begin at 8:15 a.m. - 2:03 p.m.
Minimum Day - School Start Times:
4-8 grades begin at 8:00 a.m. - 1:09 p.m.
K-3 grades begin at 8:10 a.m. - 1:09 p.m.
Students will be released from class based upon the dismissal time. Students will be walked to a designated pick-up area (see below) and remain with their teacher/classmates. If they have a younger sibling(s), they should report to the designated pick-up area of their youngest sibling so parents don't have to visit both pick-up loops. Please coordinate this with your children.
To ensure the safety of all children, students must be picked up at their dismissal times. The school does not provide supervision for students after 2:20 p.m. on regular days and 1:20 p.m. on minimum days. Every Monday is a minimum day. If students are not picked up by the aforementioned times, they will be escorted to the office. Parents will then be required to go to the office to check students out. Remember this is to ensure your child’s safety, so please be prompt when picking up your child.
Assigned Parking Lots for Drop-off and Pick-up
This year, you will be assigned to a specific parking lot for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. It is extremely important that you stick to this because your child/children will be taken to this area after school. If you have multiple BC children, we do not want you to have to go from parking lot to parking lot, so you will be picking all of your children up together in one location.
This location is decided by the youngest child in the family. Older children in the family will need to find their youngest sibling at the pick-up location that is assigned to that sibling's grade level. For example, Kindergarten will be picked up in the front parking lot, so all older siblings of Kindergartners will report to the dismissal location to find their Kindergarten sibling's class at the front of the school and wait for their parents there together. We will be out to help older siblings find their pick-up point. This should only take a day or two to get into the routine of where to go.
Parking Lot Assignments by Grade-Level:
- TK/K (and all older siblings) - Front Lot
1 and 2 (and all older siblings) - Back Lot
3 and 4 (and all older siblings) - Front Lot
5 (and all older siblings) - Back Lot
6-8 (and all older siblings) Front Lot
Please do not arrive earlier than your oldest child's release time (see above), as we want to be able to clear the parking lot quickly for each group. If you have multiple children who are released at both times, please find a parking space rather than waiting in the pick-up lane as this will block the lane from moving as you wait for your older child. Thank you for your cooperation.
BC FLOW OF TRAFFIC MAP
Enter/exit the campus from the neighborhood depending on which parking lot you are assigned. Front lot = red arrows. Back lot = green arrows.
PARENT CLUB 2024-2025
The Parent Club helps with fundraising at Boulder Creek (BC) and also puts on fun events such as Boulder Bash, Holiday Boutique, and many dances. Their first meeting of the year will be announced soon. As a parent or guardian of a BC student, you are a member of the Parent Club! At the first meeting, parents will decide how to spend the money that was raised last year, and a budget will be approved. Upcoming events such as Boulder Bash which takes place in October will also be discussed! We hope you will join us to help make all these very important decisions at the first meeting!
If you would like to help with any of the Parent Club events this school year, please click this link and complete the volunteer form! There are volunteer opportunities for every BC parent!
