Haslett High School Musical
Haslett High School students have begun rehearsals for the fall musical production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Over 75 student cast members, crew, and instrumentalists are already hard at work preparing for their performances on November 22 & 23, 2024.
Musical theater productions help students enhance and refine skills needed in everyday life. Opportunities exist to positively affect their academic learning in multiple ways. Building confidence, increasing communication skills, improved self expression, problem solving, spatial intelligence, language and reasoning are just a few of the areas in which students have the opportunity to experience growth.
Musicals connect us to human stories. Collaborating with others and participating in theater creates a space for students to be creative, explore emotions, understand others' lived experiences and increase empathy. Providing these opportunities educate the whole student and create tremendous community partnerships. Our students are proud to provide entertainment and theatrical experiences for the community. We are excited for our Haslett community to watch this fabulous group of students perform, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on November 22nd and 23rd!

Kids Connection Child Care Programs
Kids Connection child care programs are offered to families of Wilkshire Early Childhood Center, Murphy Elementary and Ralya Elementary. Throughout the school year each location is open before & after school along with select "no school" days.
We currently have availability at both Ralya and Murphy for after school care. Wilkshire has a waiting list. All of our sites currently have availability for before school care.
Our full day summer program is available at the Community Education Building. The summer program for this year was packed with several field trips along with staff led activities. A few of the highlights were trips to Preuss Pets for our K-1st grade classroom along with the Detroit Zoo and Alligator Sanctuary for our 2nd-6th grade classrooms. As a year-end summer finale, students enjoyed a carnival in which they were able to enjoy a dunk tank and inflatables. Registration for KC Summer 2025 Program will open on March 17, 2025.
Questions regarding our Child Care Programs should be directed to Gregory Daza, Child Care Director at 517-339-2665.
