I have lived in the Chisago Lakes area for the past 7 years and have 3 kids (ages 10, 4, 3) who attend Taylors Falls Elementary. I have a background in law enforcement and security and I hold a bachelor's degree in law enforcement. I currently work for the State of Minnesota as a Senior Investigator. I have always had a small interest in fitness, but nothing more than going to the gym and I was never a fan of "group fitness classes" but about 8 years ago a friend convinced me to go to this class called POUND. Day one I fell in love, and as I continued taking the class, I knew I needed to share the energy and community it brought to everyone. I became certified and have been teaching for the past 6 years. This year I was honored to become part of POUND's Tour Crew, a group of 240 instructors (of the roughly 30,000 globally), who represent POUND and its mission, who are the loudest noise makers and ultimately, inspire, motivate, and empower others to embrace their most authentic selves.

When you make the decision to walk through the doors of a POUND class, you’re given the permission to come as you are. To honor what it took to get there and let go of whatever’s weighing on you that day. We walk into class as individuals with all sorts of beautiful baggage and give ourselves permission to let it go, connect to each other through rhythm and movement, to take it all out on the mat, and turn on the truest versions of ourselves. In POUND Pro training, we learn, as instructors, that we are the audience to our participant’s rock show. The aim isn’t merely to provide a class environment to move your body and rock out with your friends, but to allow you to unleash the inner you.

When we surround ourselves with those who share our values and radiate positivity, the ripple effect is profound. As social creatures, we thrive on the right connections and quality time. In class we show up for ourselves but somehow impact others and start showing up for them too. We are changing our minds before our bodies and loving them for what and where they are today.
