Principal's Corner
Hello Natoma Station Families,
Back to School Attendance Challenge
We surpassed our attendance goal this week with a 97.83% daily attendance average! In grades TK-2nd, we had a tie with 2 classes having 100% attendance for this week! Congratulations to Ms. Dubnoff's TK class and Mrs. Tucker and Mrs. Bruce's Kindergarten classes for both achieving 100% attendance. Our intermediate class with the highest attendance rate was Ms. Nickelson's class with 100% average attendance for the week. Thank you, parents, for ensuring that our Cheetahs come to school ready to learn new things every day!
Thank You to Our Natoma Station Safety Team
Did you know that members of our school safety team volunteer their time to keep our students safe as they arrive and leave our campus? Courtney Hvostal, Paul Ganley, Dave Ochoa, Cindy Collado, Ida Hands, and Ray Brown volunteer their time every day by directing cars in the Hug N'Go lane on Ashcat Way and by helping our students safely use the pedestrian crosswalks on their way to and from school. Thank you for all that you do for our Cheetahs!
Student Drop-off and Pick-up
Drop off and pick up times are very busy times of the day with many cars and pedestrians on all the streets bordering Natoma Station Elementary. Please drive cautiously and obey all traffic laws. We want to keep our Cheetahs safe! Also, please be sure to pick your student up on time. We provide adult supervision on Ashcat Way and Natoma Station Drive until 3:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and until 1:30 PM on Thursdays.
Community Service Day at Natoma Station is Saturday, September 21 - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
We are pleased to partner with Folsom Community Service Day on Sept. 21st. Show your school pride and help beautify NSE's landscape by weeding and spreading mulch. We need your help to distribute the mulch from the drop off point to the garden beds. CLICK HERE to volunteer and use password NSE at the top to sign up. Ten more spots have been added to our project, but we welcome everyone who wants to join. If the available slots are full, you may come to our front office that morning to sign a waiver to participate, however there will be no Community Service Day shirts or breakfast available for overflow participants.
Please Register for Our Annual Cheetah Chase
Please register your child(ren) online today if you haven't done so already (see flyer below to register). We need every child registered so that we can order a FREE t-shirt for them to wear on October 4th.
NSE Family Movie Night
Bring your family and friends, blankets, and low chairs to watch the Wonka movie together in our multipurpose room on Friday, September 20nd. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the movie will begin at 6:00. Pizza, popcorn, candy and water will be available for sale (cash only, please) with all proceeds going toward fundraising for our 5th grade field trip to Sly Park. Students must be accompanied by an adult to attend this event. See the flyer below for more details.
Thank you for your support and partnership!

ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE
Congratulations to our Back to School Attendance Challenge winners last week! Mrs. Tucker/Mrs. Bruce (K) tied with Ms. McClure's (1st grade) class with 100% attendance. Mrs. Morales/Ms. Porters third grade class won for the intermediate grades with 99% attendance. Way to go Cheetahs!
WE DID IT!
Please take the survey here and put a pin down on our intersections if you would like to see some changes. We are hoping that this squeaky wheel will get some grease. Thank you from your Traffic Safety Crew!
Traffic Safety
There is a lot of traffic congestion near the school around pickup and drop off times. We ask that you please be courteous and respectful of others. When possible and safe, please carpool, walk, or bike ride to campus. Please review the following Hug n' Go and crosswalk safety procedures.
We value your feedback. Please take this one question survey
