LEOSanta & Additional Presence of Law Enforcement
As part of our partnership with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement, Sterling School has been collecting toys for LEOSanta—an initiative to brighten the holidays for families in need. As a reminder, tomorrow (12/9) is the last day to participate with a new, unwrapped toy.
On Tuesday (12/10), some of our students will have a special opportunity to tour and help fill a SWAT truck or law enforcement vehicle with the toys they’ve collected. It’s an exciting way for them to see the impact of their generosity in action! You may notice additional law enforcement vehicles, including the SWAT truck, on campus that day. Please rest assured there’s no cause for concern—this is all part of the fun and collaboration with our law enforcement partners.
Thank you for your incredible support of our school and for helping make this toy drive a success. Together, we’re spreading holiday cheer to those who need it most! 🎁🚔✨
Deck the Halls With Joy Spirit Week
Sterling School's Students in Action leadership club invites everyone to join the fun and festive spirit from December 16–20! Each day brings a unique theme to celebrate the season while spreading holiday cheer. Don’t forget to participate and dress up for each day’s exciting theme!
We’re also giving back to the community by collecting donations for our local animal shelter. Drop off used/new blankets, towels, or chew toys in the front lobby and help make a difference.
Let’s end the semester with joy, laughter, and seasonal fun! 🎁

Sterling in the Community
Big shoutout to Community Leader Randy Jackson, Director of the Phillis Wheatley Center, and a true friend to our Boys 2 Mentors Club!
We were honored to join Mr. Jackson and his son, Jay Jackson, a professional MLB player for the Minnesota Twins, at the Furman vs. Princeton game to celebrate the launch of Jay's inspiring new book, "9 Innings to Living Your Best Life." 🎉 Sterling School Earns Top Honors 🎉
We are thrilled to share some exciting news! Recently, U.S. News & World Report released their inaugural rankings of public elementary and middle schools, and Sterling School has achieved remarkable recognition.
Our school has been named both a U.S. News Best Elementary School and a Best Middle School! Among the 80,000 public schools evaluated across the country, fewer than 1,000 earned both honors. Notably, our middle school program is ranked as the highest in South Carolina, and our elementary program has risen to an impressive 8th in the state (and improved from last year's ranking of 16).
CLICK HERE to explore the published rankings and see more about our school’s achievements!
As principal, I couldn’t be prouder of this accomplishment. This recognition reflects the relentless effort of our incredible students, the tireless dedication of our faculty and staff, and the unwavering support of our families and community partners. Together, we are creating a school environment that is challenging, engaging, supportive, healthy, and safe—meeting the needs of the whole child and soaring higher each day!
