Our 6th graders have been diving into the problem-solving process, learning how to tackle everything from coding issues to real-life challenges. They’ve also explored study tactics that work best for them! Today, they put those skills into action to prepare for their Problem Solving Test. Amazing work, Tech Today students—keep it up!

6th-grade Tech Today students have also kicked off their "What's a Computer?" unit. They learned that one key feature of a computer is its ability to store and process data. Today, students were introduced to Binary Code, the system computers use to represent letters and numbers. Using this new knowledge, they wrote the titles of their favorite holiday movies in Binary Code!

We're turning up the volume on this year's Fair with more books and more choices than ever before. Shopping for the students is during Falcon Period, Lunch, and their regular library time. The Book Fair will be open each day from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM from Dec. 9-13. The morning of Dec 16 will be the last time to shop. It's a good time for Holiday gift buying! We are now hiring classified substitute workers for various roles, including Playground Monitors, Educational Aides, Cafeteria Workers, Secretarial Staff, Custodial Staff, Bus Aides, and Bus Drivers. A current BCI & FBI background check is required before applying for any substitute position. Some positions may also require an aide permit, which the Administration Office can help you obtain. You have the flexibility to work the hours that suit you, and you'll be on call to cover for regular employees. This letter is to inform you of the immunization requirements for (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis), as a booster to the initial series of required doses. Ohio is requiring the Tdap vaccine, as opposed to Td, to protect against Pertussis (whooping cough). In addition to the Tdap, your child is also required to receive the Meningococcal vaccine prior to the entry into Grade 7. The Meningococcal vaccine prevents bacteria that is commonly spread from person to person, especially in teens and young adults. These bacteria can cause meningitis, which is an infection of the fluid and lining surrounding the brain and spinal cord; it can also enter the bloodstream, causing sepsis. Please contact your health care provider to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccines your child will need for the next year.
