Another 6 weeks is behind us and we are closing in on the fall semester. November and December are packed full of fun events! Report cards will be coming home Wednesday along with any lunch charges and attendance notifications. Please be on the look out for those!

School Day Schedule and Lunch Times

Daily Schedule:

7:30 AM - Doors Open

8:15 AM - First bell rings

8:20 AM - Class begins

3:50 PM - Dismissal

*Doors close at 8:20. If you are dropping your student off after 8:20 AM, you will need to sign them in through the front office.

Lunches:

4th grade - 11:25-12:05

5th grade - 11:40-12:20 *please note that 5th grade goes to recess before lunch

6th grade - 12:40-1:20

Parents are welcome to attend lunch on occasion. We appreciate you giving us the first 6 weeks to get routines and procedures down!

**A Note on Lunch Deliveries ** - If you have lunch delivered for your student, please let them know that morning that it will be delivered. Lunch is a busy time and sometimes we can't catch them before going through the line to let them know they have a lunch. Thank you!

Socktober and Slime your teachers!

Students collected socks for Socktober! JNI collected a whopping 3871 pairs!!! WOW! Our students did an awesome job at supporting a great cause! Those socks will be delivered to the Christian Service Center later this month.

Students will be participating in a Turkey Bowl on 11/22. Students who sold 15 or more items for our fundraiser will also be SLIMING their teachers on 11/22 as well!

Attendance Matters

Shared from Dr. Teal's State of the Union sent out last month

In the 2023-24 school year, our overall attendance rate was 95.59%, falling short of our goal of 97% for the district. We want to remind our Jim Ned parents that we are funded as a district based on this attendance rate. Did you know that just a 1% decrease or increase in our Attendance Rate is worth $72,151 annually in our budget? That is the approximate salary of 1.5 teachers! So if a student is not present, we do not receive funding for that student on that day–even if it is an excused absence! Please make every effort to have your student present each day at school. It will help us to address our deficit budget for the 2024-25 school year.
