The application process to pitch at Venture Day Madrid is now open! Over the last 4 years teams that have pitched at Venture Day Madrid have raised over €12M+ IN INVESTMENT. The deadline to apply is Oct 16th. Venture Day Madrid will be celebrated on Nov 19th.

Next Tuesday, in the morning, Area 31 will host the final project presentations of the students enrolled in IE Brown Executive MBA. On that same day, in the evening, Fundación Créate will hold an info session in Area 31. They are looking for volunteers to help them inspire children through entrepreneurship. Finally, on Thursday, join us for pitching and beers at Venture Network.

IE Business School and Brown University have forged a unique alliance to offer a joint Executive MBA degree that integrates innovative management skills with the human sciences and practical business studies. The 15-month curriculum is designed for executives who seek to inspire those around them and disrupt the future of business.

IE VENTURE DAY is IE Business School’s startup competition where 10 teams get the chance to pitch to an audience of local and international angel and VC investors. To take part in Venture Day at least 1 team member must be a current student or alumni from IE Business School. Learn more.

Startup4cities 2015 is aimed at early stage entrepreneurs and start- ups in Spain or Portugal that need to validate their product or service and its business model in a real city environment . The final event will be held on November 17th in Barcelona, in the Smart City Expo World Congress. More than 100 local councils will select projects of their interest and offer their city as a lab , creating a great network of urban labs. Learn more.

The World Bank in partnership with IE business School has launched the WE’Resilient Cities, a start-up competition to encourage innovative female-run business solutions to address urban risk in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). In the week from 14 to 18 September, we celebrated the Women Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program for Resilient Cities 7 finalists in a Madrid Bootcamp: IE Campus had been the place to connect with other entrepreneurs, investors and specialized trainers.
