I am thrilled to share that we will have an experienced international teacher join our 4th grade team, through the Participate Learning program, this year! He is from Kenya, has taught in multiple locations throughout East and Central Africa and is thrilled to join our Eagle Family!

Participate Teachers typically arrive with just two suitcases. So, school communities band together to welcome them with basic household goods! (pots, pans, plates, towels, etc...) Let's join together and give our international teacher a great big Eagle Welcome! I've created a sign-up sheet to help avoid duplication and ensure that all bases are covered. (Our teacher's wife & 8 year-old son will be joining him.) Donations may be dropped on in the main office between 9:00 & 3:00.

We know unexpected transitions can occur during the summer months, yet our teacher allotments depend on the number of students we have registered.

If you learn that your family will be leaving the area, and your student(s) will no longer be attending Vandora Springs, please email Ms. Peacock at cmpeacock@wcpss.net.

If your student will no longer be attending a WCPSS school, PLEASE visit us to return any library books that are checked out to your children.

Thank you for another amazing school year! We appreciate you sharing your incredible children with us! It has been a joy to watch them learn, grow, and thrive! We are extremely proud of all our students accomplished this year. Over the course of the year, we helped 121 students move from red or yellow (below benchmark) to green or blue (on or above benchmark), based on mClass data!

Please encourage your student to keep reading over the summer!

Please also mark your calendar for our Back to School Bash on August 21 from 4:00–6:00 pm, and encourage any new / rising kindergarten families to register for school as soon as possible.

Family & community members who were approved to volunteer in the 2024-25 school year will receive an email soon outlining the simple volunteer renewal process for the 2025-26 school year. Family & community members are encouraged to renew their volunteer status during the renewal window, July 1-Oct. 31, 2025. View WCPSS volunteer information here!

Wake County Public Libraries is partnering with Advance Community Health to bring vital healthcare resources directly to the community. From April to August, Advance Community Health will provide free health screenings and resources through weekly visits at 11 library locations across the county. The screening dates for Southeast Regional Library in Garner are:
