MISSION STATEMENT
Martinez Early Learning Center is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and innovative learning environment for our students, that encompasses kindness and fosters foundational skills for all students to be successful in kindergarten and beyond.
We are Safe,
We are Kind,
We are Mariposas Ready to Learn.
Safety First
The safety of our students and staff is the most important thing at Martinez. We strive to make the campus a place where students can focus on their learning. As part of our safety practices, we perform periodic drills. See the chart below to learn about the different drills we do in the campus. If you happen to arrive to the school in the middle o a drill, we ask for your patience.
Twelve Days of Christmas
As part of our Winter holiday celebrations, we will have 12 days of dressing up for students to prepare for the holidays.
- Thursday 5 - Dress in red and white like a candy cane
- Friday 6 - Wear your favorite holiday shirt
- Monday 9 - Wear festive clothes (pictures with Santa day)
- Tuesday 10 - Wear a lighted wardrobe (tinsel, glitter, garland, necklaces)
- Wednesday 11 - Wear holiday socks (must wear shoes)
- Thursday 12 - Wear you Santa hat, reindeer antlers or other holiday topper
- Friday 13 - Ugly sweater day
- Monday 16 - Wear your bells (Zoom Holiday Program Day)
- Tuesday 17 - Wear a Whoville outfit, Grinch costume, or just green
- Wednesday 18 - Wear plaid or flannel
- Thursday 19 - Dress as a present
- Friday 20 - Wear your pajamas
For all these dress up days, remember your child still needs to have appropriate shoes for the classroom and the playground. Attire must not be cumbersome and the child still needs to be independent in the restroom.
We look forward to see all your creative ideas dressing up you child for these 12 days of Christmas.
Pictures with Santa
The holidays are quickly approaching and we want to take the opportunity to create a beautiful memory for your family and raise funds for the school. On Monday, December 9th, Santa will visit the campus and take pictures with the students. Pictures will cost $5 and will be sent home with students on Friday, December 20.
We will send a letter with information about how to send the money on Monday, November 18.
Live Winter Holiday Program
Music is one of the most beloved holiday traditions. We will have a Winter Holiday Program on Monday, December 16. Students will prepare songs to present to families via Zoom in the following schedule:

9:45 AM - Ms. Mayerstein and Ms. Montalvo's Classes
10:30 AM - Ms. Llanes, Ms. PeƱa, and Ms. Marissa Rodriguez' Classes
