Raider Nation Newsletter
Week of November 22, 2021
Dear Atholton Families,
It is conference week! I hope you were able to schedule conferences with your child’s teachers. This is an important opportunity to extend the lines of communication regarding academic progress. Once again, the majority of teachers will be offering evening conferences. I would ask that you log in to verify the virtual codes for your conferences as some of them had to be changed at the last minute. For resources on scheduling conferences, please visit HCPSS Connect Guides. Be sure to review the teacher's schedule for each class.
Friday night was the 3A Football Regional Championship between Atholton and Chesapeake HS of Anne Arundel County. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Raiders in the cold! Unfortunately, we lost 27-0. However, this loss does not negate the hard work and dedication our boys and coaches put in this entire season. With a final record of 11-2, the Raider football team has much to be proud of and much to celebrate. What a great season! We are all proud of you!!
Just a reminder, as of October 25, all volunteers and chaperones who interact with students, and parents/guardians who are conducting classroom observations will be required to use the PinPoint platform to show proof of full vaccination at least five school days in advance. Please refer to the HCPSS website for additional information.
Lastly, Thanksgiving is this week. It is a time to be thankful, a time to remember and embrace those who enrich our lives. I am thankful for a lot of things and that includes being thankful for the Atholton community. This is truly a special place!
I wish you all a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
