WMS Weekly Warrior
May 6, 2024
Good Afternoon Woodbury Middle School,
We hope you enjoyed the first weekend of May. This week, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Like many appreciation weeks or holidays, it’s unfortunate that we only designate these days, weeks, or months to appreciate the hard work of others. Our staff dedicates every day to shaping the hearts and minds of their students. Our teacher's commitment goes beyond the classroom. They inspire, motivate, and empower their students to reach their full academic and personal potential. We are grateful for their dedication, passion, and hard work to the students in Region 14. If you get a moment, feel free to share your appreciation with the teachers and staff at Woodbury Middle School. We know they will appreciate the effort.
As you know, the SBA Math assessment will begin tomorrow and continue on Thursday and Friday. Please talk to your students about the importance of these assessments and encourage them to give their best efforts. Remember to charge Chromebooks overnight, get a good night's sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast. Your support during this state-mandated assessment time is greatly appreciated and plays a significant role in our student’s success.
Next week, we celebrate School Spirit Week. Our Alliance Leadership group has planned for daily activities culminating with a pep rally on Friday, May 17th. Students should read the monitors in halls and listen for announcements for the daily themes.
On Friday of last week, we enjoyed our last Live School reward. Students spent time outside playing organized activities or just socializing. The students capped off the event with complimentary ice cream. Our last rewards of the school year will be class trips organized by grade. Grade-level leaders will send the eligibility requirements for these end of the year’s events. Please review these requirements with your students so they may enjoy celebrating the year’s success during these fun events.
