WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Attendance Matters!
The state of Arizona defines excessive absencess as 10% of a school year. As we operate on a 178 day school year, anything in excess of nine (9) days each semester would be considered excessive.
Therefore, beginning this semester, a student can only have nine (9) days marked as an “Excused” absence in each of their classes without administrative approval. This does not include school sponsored events, activities or appointments. Parents will begin to receive notifications at 3, 6 and 9 days of absences. If a student hits 10 absences, in order to have the absence excused, they will need to contact administration.
Our Dorado Community is a partnership in setting the stage for students to succeed. We need your help to make sure that our students are in school every day that they can be. Together, we can open doors for our kiddos in the future!
