New Office Manager
Please be sure to stop by the office and give Ms. Ikeuchi a warm Mt. Everest welcome!
Mihoko Ikeuchi
Today was my first day at Mt. Everest Academy and I am excited to be part of the team with all of you! I previously worked at Hawthorne and Ross Elementary schools in SDUSD.
I am originally from Japan and moved to San Diego in 2000 after living in Australia for one year to learn English. I attended college in Japan and graduated with a degree in Philosophy. In the United States, I have studied Office Management and Accounting. I live with two high school age daughters and three cats in Clairemont. I enjoy the process of learning and am grateful for the opportunity to grow together with MEA students and families.
Schoolwide Fundraiser through ASB
Help ASB with a schoolwide fundraising campaign this year that starts now. Your help is essential! Every Mt. Everest student can take part!
With the funds raised this year we can look forward to offering community events such as: Fall Festival, Holiday Hoopla, Dances, Clubs, Academic League and Talent Show.
But only if we can count on your participation!
Simply put, we’re asking you to reach out to your friends and family and encourage them to shop for products in our fundraising catalog or online. The proceeds of every purchase will make a BIG difference in our fundraising efforts this year. There’s a lot of great stuff in this year’s catalog; with over 2,500 great products you can be confident that everyone you know will find something they like. (This is not just wrapping paper, but nice, quality products.)
Our fundraising sales only last a few short weeks! So do these quick, easy things today and let’s get our momentum going!
- Register your participant online and enter our Organization ID 24500
- Invite friends and family to shop and support! Send emails, share on social media, and text the fundraising link to your friends & family to quickly spread the word!
Click here for an instruction letter that you can use to ensure you are registered properly for the fundraiser and that all of your purchases are linked to Mt. Everest Academy.

This panel discussion, hosted by Penguin Young Readers and Booklist, intends to do just that. With incredible indigenous authors who are intentionally uplifting nonfiction and fiction stories from their communities, this event is not to be missed.
Join Penguin Young Readers and Booklist on Wednesday, September 28th at 1PM CT/2PM ET for this free, hour-long discussion where Indigenous authors Traci Sorell and David Treuer, along with other to-be-announced creators, will discuss their new books. Register now!
