Character Counts at Green!

Students are nominated by a school staff member for exemplifying our trait of the month. They earn a brag tag and their picture on social media. Congratulations to the following students for showing cooperation during the month of February:

Family Food Pantry

Our Family School Pantry will be Thursday, March from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. as a drive-through at the back of John R. Wooden Middle School. Families should enter the school's one-way road off of Sycamore Street. A volunteer will write down a few pieces of information and then offer a variety of items. These items will then be placed in your vehicle. Future food pantry dates this year are April 10 and May 15.

Kindergarten Orientation

Do you have questions about kindergarten? Would you and your child like to take a tour of the school? Do you know someone who is thinking about enrolling their child in kindergarten?

Mrs. Harrington will be available to answer all of your questions on Thursday, April 10 at 5:30 p.m. Please contact the office if you plan to attend so we can have plenty of supplies and refreshments.

Office News

Dismissal: If you wish to change your child's dismissal transportation, you must notify Mrs. Schoening by 3:00.

PLEASE DISPLAY YOUR CAR RIDER SIGN FROM THE REAR VIEW MIRROR SO WE CAN MAKE DISMISSAL QUICKER. ADDTIONAL CAR RIDER SIGNS CAN BE OBTAINED FROM THE OFFICE.

Spring Forward

Don't forget to move your clocks forward by one hour on Sunday, March 9.

Spring Fling

Join us after school on Friday, April 4 for our annual Spring Fling sponsored by the PTO. We will have games, activities, food, and fun!

This year, the Star Wars 501st Legion will be patrolling the halls. Be sure to bring a camera to get a picture with your favorite character for FREE.

Volunteers will be needed for different activities, and a baked good donation would really help our cake walk. Contact the PTO for more information on how you can help.

Clinic Updates

Colder Weather: Students will continue to have outside recess so long as the weather is not too cold. Please make sure your child has a coat, hat, and gloves. There are a limited number of these items in the clinic for students to borrow.

When to Stay Home: Students are sent home if their temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher, or when a student vomits. Your child must be fever free (without medication) and not have vomited for 24 hours before returning to school.

WE NEED YOU!
