- We had a great turnout for our first PTA meeting. A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Gillespie and Mrs. Zapatka for sharing information about our new social-emotional learning program, RULER (presentation shared below).
- We encourage parents and family members to follow the happenings at Westgate on Twitter #wgleads and @AHSD25Westgate. Staff is encouraged to post the exciting things that are happening in their classrooms throughout the day. Be sure to check it out!

Picture Day Outfit Tips:
- As you view the options, make sure the outfit will compliment the colors.
- Avoid shirts with large words or logos. Layered clothing that is solid in color, or has patterns, looks best.
- Make sure you and your child both love the outfit. If they feel comfortable they will be relaxed and confident for the photo!

MAP Testing Update for Grades K-2
All MAP assessment reports will be sent home via backpack mail on October 1st.
LMC Book Return Procedures
On your LMC day:
- Books to be returned - deliver your classroom book return crate to the LMC first thing in the morning. Leave the crate and all near the Circulation Desk. Empty crates will be parked near the LMC back door.
- Book(s) to be renewed - Do not put the book(s) in the book return crate. Have the student bring the book(s) to the LMC during check-out, and place it on the "Please Renew" spot on the Circulation Desk. Students may pick up renewed items at check-out time.
