Happy Summer! It is hard to believe that the 24-25 School Year has come to an end! We wish the best to our 5th Graders who will be graduating from the GEARS Kids Center and moving to the Middle School in the Fall! Many of these children started in Preschool with Kids Center! We also give a big shout out to the 9 Pre-Kindergarteners who are graduating into Kindergarten in the Fall!
This Newsletter highlights important rules, reminders and calendars to assist parents and campers everyday of the camp season. Mrs. Tracy, Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Wendy have been planning, gathering and creating a many great activities for the Summer of 2025.
If any part of the schedules would change during the 10.5 weeks of camp, there will be communication sent if changes occur. We can communicate through Bright Wheels Messages, or connect with email with Tracy (tracycarl@GetintoGears.org), with Wendy (wendymusser@GetintoGears.org) or with Kelly (kellyflowers@GetintoGears.org).
We are exited to share that many of our Summer Staff from last year will be joining us again; and a few new faces as well. We look forward to seeing our 1st to 5th grade campers on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at East High Elementary School and our Preschoolers and Kindergarteners at the Community Center. Our hours are 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. East High campers should enter the right parking lot (the one towards the Stadium), please come to the silver doors. Staff will allow entry into the school and then parents should scan your child into the program. The opening classroom in the morning will be the first classroom on the left. On Fridays during camp, we will have camp at the Community Center in the Gym. Special Lunches are included on Fridays. Children can still bring a lunch if they wish. A reminder to not bring any drinks that can stain our new gym floor. Please bring water only. We are excited to spend the summer with your children. We also have the expectation for campers to come wearing closed toe shoes, no flip flops. We wish to avoid any foot injuries. Sneakers are a better choice. Please check the calendar each day for field trips and when packed lunches are needed. Please label your child's sunscreen and place in a zip lock bag to avoid leakage.
