***PE and Music are looking for cake mix and frosting donations for the fall festival for the cake walk. Please send donations with your child. Thank you!!
Thank you for helping us make our parking lot procedures a success.
Reminders:
-When moving through the car drive thru lane, if you have dropped off or picked up your child you may then merge into the left lane to exit the parking lot.
-Please move ALL THE WAY FORWARD to the dumpster. There should be no gaps between cars.
-KINDER and TK parents- do not leave your car. Our lane needs to continue to move forward. Use parking lot spots and crosswalk to pick up your child.
-USE CROSSWALK when crossing though the parking lot.

NEW PARKING LOT PROCEDURES
DROP OFF
Students coming for breakfast will enter the office gate at 7:30am.
All other students 1st-6th grades will enter through the gate at the center of the new parking lot drive thru at 7:45am.
TK and Kindergarten students will meet their teachers at the new Corner Gate at the usual time.
Greenwood Gate and Turner Gate will now be closed in the morning.
DISMISSAL
All grades will exit from a gate at the center of the new parking lot drive thru.
Bus riders and walkers will exit through the front gate.
Turner Road and Greenwood Gate will be open from 2:10-2:20 for pick-up ONLY. No entrance at arrival at these gates.
No cars are allowed in bus zone in front of the school from 7:30 am-2:30pm.
TK and Kinder Dismissal
Students will be dismissed via the New Corner Gate by the cement benches.
Parents may wait near benches.
Parents will need to park cars and cross through parking lot
Parents use the crosswalk if leaving vehicles.
Parents will need to pull all the way up when in the drive thru.
1st-6th Grade Dismissal
1st-6th Grade students will dismiss from the large gate in the parking lot.
Teachers will walk their class to gate for dismissal.
Parents may use the parking lot drive thru, Turner Gate, or Greenwood Gate for dismissal.
VERY IMPORTANT - BUS ZONE
Bus Zone in front of the school is for school buses and daycare buses ONLY from 7:30 am - 2:30pm.
No drop off or pick up of students permitted.
Cones will be placed in this area to eliminate parking.
2024-25 School Year
Parents, please label lunch boxes, water bottles, and sweatshirts with student names. We return all labeled items back to your child. If the items are not labeled they will be placed in lost and found and donated at the end of each quarter.

Parent Club Meeting Minutes 8/13/24
Updates from Mrs. Norris's Music Class
Hi families!
We had a great week in music class. This is what we are working on:
Grades 1 and 2: identifying and performing in singing voice with consistent head voice technique
Grades 3 and 4: creating and performing ostinatos using a variety of percussion instruments
Grade 5: performing rudimental rhythm patterns with consistent rebound on bucket drums
Grade 6: the ultimate review music board game project
Choir club: We will meet this Tuesday! We are working on singing with good balance and blend in unison and in rounds. Please note there is no choir on 9/24 as it is a minimum day.
Band: We have band on Tuesday and Friday! Please help your student bring their instrument to school on these days. We are connecting reading music to producing specific pitches on their instrument. Please note there is no band on 9/24 and 9/27 as they are minimum days.
Upcoming Events:
All students will participate in at least 1 during-school concert experience. This aligns with our CA Music Standards MU:Pr4-6. Below are dates to add to your calendars!
Winter Wonderland: December 10
Assembly 1: Grades 1-3 and SDC 1-3
Assembly 2: Grades 4-6, SDC 4-6, band, and choir
5pm: band and choir
Spring Fling: May 16
Assembly and after school at 5pm: Grades 1-3, SDC 1-3, band and choir

Den Shirt Update
If you have not ordered a Den shirt or sweatshirt yet, we now have a new opportunity. We have an online option for ordering. You can go to the following website to place orders.

If you have already submitted an order on our paper forms, please note that they will still be processed.
Paper orders will still be accepted through Thursday, September 12th.
Online ordering will be available through Sunday, September 15th.
All orders will be delivered to your child’s classroom.
Also, please note, Etosha logo is changing. As we are in the process of changing over, some shirts will have the old logo and some the new logo. We do not have control over which logo it will be.

Universal Free Meals
Lodi USD students may enjoy one FREE nutritious breakfast and lunch every school day. That means no fees or meal applications required! Plus, the district-wide afterschool meals program is also no-cost.
SunBucks
SUN Bucks provides $40 per month for groceries from June to August, totaling $120 for the summer. Students who receive CalFresh, CalWORKs, or Medi-Cal are automatically enrolled, requiring no additional sign-up. Everyone else should complete the Parent Data Confirmation through the Aeries system online
