YouScience
Thank you to those students who have completed their YouScience assessment. Those students who have not yet completed their assessment should please do so as soon as possible. Counselors will be using these assessment results when meeting with students in the upcoming months. Parents, be sure to ask your student about their YouScience results and ask them to share them with you. There is so much wonderful information regarding your students' natural abilities, career fields that are fitting to your child and their natural abilities, educational resources and so much more.
Student Safety
Very often, students are the first line of defense in helping their friends and classmates. As counselors, we want to make sure you feel equipped to navigate situations that arise. Should you become concerned for the safety of our building or an individual while at school, please come to Mrs. Swann, Mrs. Pethtel, or Mr. Barela immediately.
If a safety concern arises while you are at home, Safe 2 Tell is a wonderful resource. You can anonymously report safety concerns at Safe2Tell.org. Just go to the website and click on “Submit an Anonymous Report”. School officials and law enforcement will be alerted and will support the situation appropriately. Please always err on the side of caution, we want our school and all of our students to be safe!
If your student is in need of counseling support while at home they can utilize the free Crisis Text Line for teens at Text TALK to 38255. To find out more about this resource please go to https://need2text.com/.
