Endeavor Update
September 12, 2024
Focusing Our Commitment to Unlimited Success!
August Student of the Month
Endeavor High School's student of the month is Valeria Mariscal. Valeria is a Junior in her first year at Endeavor. Valeria chose to come to Endeavor because she wants to graduate early to begin her college studies at Texas A&M University where she would like to pursue a degree in corporate law.
Valeria likes Endeavor because it is welcoming and students are able to be more productive. Endeavor's art teacher, Ms. Alyssa Ramirez, was selected by Valeria to have lunch with her along with CISD Superintendent Dr. Hill and the other students from the district today. "She is a teacher that understands that we are young and have our personal challenges. She's a good listener."
Endeavor High School is proud Valeria!
Campus Spotlight
Graduation Anticipation
It's quite an exciting day and one that really motivates students to work hard, earn their credits, pass their tests, and begin the next chapter of their lives. We have two or three of these young people who are about to accomplish that goal in the next week!
Way to go Endeavor Class of 2025!
Activity Day!
Students really enjoy the time they get on Fridays between 2nd and 3rd periods to relax and unwind after working all week. Students can play board games or cards, pool, foose ball, corn hole, or even work on their classes.
Beginning next week students will be able to sign up to participate in clubs on campus. First up is the Cooking Club which is led by Mr. Garza. On the menu is french toast.
Spirit Night - Friday, September 13
From Anthony Mireles, Family & Community Partnership Coordinator, Department of Communications for the Channelview Independent School District:
We appreciate your continued support as we assist you in securing a bright future for your children. Channelview ISD wants to celebrate with your family by inviting you to the 2024 Spirit Night Game on Friday, September 13, 2024 as the Channelview Falcons take on Clear Creek High School for the first homestand of the regular season. All CISD students can attend the game FOR FREE!
If you have not yet attended a Channelview home football game, it is quite an energetic affair! From the moment you walk into Ray Maddry Memorial Stadium, that energy – that sense of hometown pride – can be felt everywhere. Whether that is on the gridiron, from the band playing in the stands, or from the Falcon faithful, it is intoxicating, addicting, and fills you up with Channelview spirit.
It is that spirit and hometown pride that will lead the youngest and brightest minds in Channelview to do their absolute best. Their efforts are not for themselves, but for the future stand tune players, cheerleaders, and football stars watching – waiting for their turn underneath the Friday night lights. For that reason, we highly encourage you to bring your children to this game. Channelview’s Finest depends on all of us playing our roles well today so that we may secure the future for our children tomorrow. We look forward to seeing what that future will bring on September 13th. GO FALCONS!
Tickets were given to students today during the activity period.
MAP Growth Testing
This week we administered the MAP growth test which will be given two more times. English 1 and 2, along with Algebra 1 and Biology students all took the test. Make up tests for absent or incomplete students will take place through next Friday, September 20.
This is a district-wide initiative for grades k-12.
