Kindergarten Color Week:
To show our school spirit and celebrate the learning of our youngest students, we ask all Labs to participate in Kindergarten Color Week. Please wear the following colors each day!
Monday: Yellow
Tuesday: Green
Wednesday: Red and blue
Thursday: Purple
Friday: Orange
Monday evening is our first PTO Meeting. You are welcome to join us in the Legacy Library or online. Before the PTO meeting begins at 7:00 PM, we will be meeting with fifth grade families to discuss the events that will take place this year to celebrate our fifth grade students!

Hello Legacy Families,
Welcome to the start of the 2024 – 2025 school year. We are excited to welcome you to the year of our 20th anniversary here at Legacy Elementary!
We as the PTO Board spent the summer planning and preparing for this school year filled with old/new events and fundraisers promoting Legacy pride and spirit, as well as supporting the needs of our school, our teachers and their classrooms. We cannot make this happen without YOUR support:)

Calling all 5th grade parents!! A 5th Grade Party interest meeting will be held in the library prior to the PTO meeting on the 9th at 6pm. We are looking for volunteers! We need your support and ideas. Please join us to start brainstorming.

Parent Resource Services (PRS) is committed to positive relationships among parents, schools, and communities to support the development of the whole child. PRS assists families with questions and planning as well as provides resources and training. Link
Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)
The Loudoun County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) works with the School Board, Administrators, Parents and Teachers who are responsible for students receiving special education services. SEAC advises the School Board on the needs of special education students and examines issues of relevance to the special education. Link
Minority Student Achievement Advisory Committee
MSAAC (Minority Student Achievement Advisory Committee ) is an active organization of students, parents, teachers and committee members. MSAAC is open to and welcomes all LCPS community members. Link
Upcoming Events
Welcome to LCPS Family Workshop for New International Families
Thursday, Sept. 5, 6:30-8 p.m., Historic Douglass High School (407 E. Market St., Leesburg)
The Welcome to LCPS Family Workshop for new international families provides a brief orientation about LCPS and the U.S. school system. Sessions are available in English, Spanish, Arabic and Farsi/Dari. For further information, contact ELFACE@lcps.org. The Welcome to LCPS workshops are held on the first Thursday of each month. The same information is presented at each workshop. Participants only need to attend one workshop.
What is Child Find?
Thursday, Sept. 26, 6:30-8 p.m. at the LCPS Administration Building (21000 Education Ct., Ashburn), Room 102AB
Child Find is designed to identify and evaluate children – from birth to age 21 – residing in Loudoun County and needing special education and related services. The session is intended for representatives of private schools in Loudoun County and parents who have placed their children in a private school or homeschool program.
