NES Eagle Update
Week 14-December 4th-8th
Current Events
REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK:
- There are 10 days left in the first half of this school year! Wow, this year is flying by-make every day COUNT. Remember, our KIDS have this one year in a grade to learn the standards and make progress towards grade level proficiency and BEYOND. Your influence on their LIVES will be lasting! Intentional Teaching MATTERS, Learning MATTERS, and INSPIRING them to be AWESOME!!
- Please remember to bring an LLI running record or informal running record as well as a work sample for each intervention a student is currently participating in when coming to RtI meetings on Friday. These assessments of student performance help the RtI committee to make informed decisions to help students.
- Remember the Tip Top Holiday Shop Preview is Tuesday, December 5th. If your are a teacher in pre-k or kindergarten, please sign up for a time on Thursday from 11:00-1:00 p.m. or Friday from 9:45-12:00. These times are when the most volunteers are available to assist younger students.
- MyOn-As you may know-we NOW have MyOn for access for student use. Mr. Cooper has been working hard to provide the means for students to access MyOn. At this time, the only expectation is for your students to have the opportunity to access books digitally and begin reading books on MyOn.
- I am super excited to see the smiling faces of our students and parents on Math Night! Thank you for preparing engaging activities that families can use at home to build strong mathematicians!
Lunchroom Procedures REMINDERS
- Teachers, please remember to record the number of students from your class seated at the lunch table before you leave. If there is not a number recorded, students will not be allowed to go outside. The lunchroom and recess staff use the number on the folder to verify all students are accounted for in your class.
- All teachers need to go to the playground to pick up students. Please do not expect lunch recess staff to send students to you from the playground. The lunch recess monitors have many students to monitor and do not have the time to watch students walking to another location.
- Students may not stay for an extended recess beyond their lunch recess time during the lunch period. There are many students on the playground and this causes a safety issue.
