May Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Students,
We’ve had a great month of teaching and learning at Mason in April! It is hard to believe we have less than 15 days of school remaining in the 24-25 school year!
May will be an exciting month at Mason with many things happening! All students will be taking their end of year iReady assessment in May. We are encouraging students to look at their other scores and set goals to grow from where they were in August and December. Please encourage your child to do their best and to show how much they’ve grown this year!
If you have a child that will turn 5 on or before September 1 , 2025, it is time to register them for Kindergarten! Registration is currently open for the 25- 26 school year. Please check our website for more information or email Gina.Pomera@gcpsk12.org if you have any questions.
Once we get into May we have many exciting end of the year events planned as we celebrate a wonderful year of teaching and learning. Field Day and End of Year parties will be combined for our first ever Spring Jamboree in partnership with our PTO. K, 1 , and 2 will be on May 14 when 3 , 4 , and 5 on May 15 . In order to make this an amazing event, our PTO is requesting a $10 admittance fee. Please see flyers that went home on 4/18.
Thank you all for helping your child to get to school on time! We want to continue to see the number of tardies (checking in after 8:15 am) decrease. If your child is a car rider, please be in line before 8:05am. The line closes promptly at 8:10 so our staff can begin teaching students. When a student checks-in after 8:15 am they are missing morning meeting and instruction. So, thank you for ensuring they are here and on-time each day!
Important Dates and Times:
Spring Jamborees May 14th and 15th
5th Grade Promotion Celebration @ Cross Point Church - May 19th
5th Grade and Senior Walk - May 20th @ 1:30 pm
5th Grade Fun Fest - May 21st
Respectfully,
Ryan Wilson

Give your child a special birthday shout out!
Celebrate your child's birthday in a big way with our Digital Marquee Birthday Shout Out fundraiser! The digital marquee is the electronic sign in front of the school that displays messages.
Surprise your little one with their name in lights as their special day is displayed for all to see. Parents can purchase a personalized birthday message to be showcased on our school marquee on their child's birthday. Don't miss this chance to make your child feel like a star! Purchase your shout-out today and support our school at the same time. The cost is $15 per message and your message will be displayed on your child's birthday (as indicated in your order), even if it is a weekend. Our digital messages run 8 seconds before changing, but your message will be visible from 6 am to 10 pm on the chosen day as part of our message rotation.
To order your birthday message, click this link: https://sfnd.io/masonbday
(Please note that designs cannot be customized. For privacy reasons, only the child's first name is displayed on the marquee.)
