Volume 3 - August 30, 2024
Dear Calhoun Middle School Community,
Give yourself a pat on the back! You have made it through the toughest and hottest time of the year with middle school students.
We had a great PTA membership campaign for the month of August and are sitting at 141 members strong right now. To put that number into perspective, we had 112 members for the entire 2023-2024 school year and we exceeded that amount in August alone! Let's go CMS families! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
As we approach the long weekend, I wanted to take a moment to wish each of you a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. Whether you're spending time with family, taking a trip, catching up on laundry, or simply enjoying some well-deserved rest, I hope you have a wonderful time!
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to our school community. Your efforts make a huge difference, and I am grateful for all you do.
Cheers!
Lilliana Wright
Calhoun MS PTA President

☕ CALHOUN COFFEE WALKS ☕
Dear Calhoun PTA Community,
We are excited to announce our monthly Teacher Coffee Walks! On the first Thursday of each month, parent volunteers will be delivering hot or iced coffee to each of our wonderful teachers right in their classrooms. It's a small gesture to show our appreciation for all the hard work they do every day. Many of our teachers run on caffeine and dry shampoo. Our first Coffee Walk will be Thursday, September 5th.
To make these coffee walks a success throughout the school year, we're asking for your help with supplies. We are asking for the following items:
- Coffee cups with lids
- Stir sticks
- Creamers
- Flavored Syrups
These supplies will be collected in bulk, so we won't need to ask for them again unless we run out. Please see the SignUp Genius attached. Most items can be found at Sam's Club. If you're able to contribute, please drop off any of the items at the front office with Ms. Patty Trowbridge. You can also make a monetary contribution to purchase supplies. Any amount helps!
Thank you for your continued support in making our teachers feel appreciated!
Warm regards,
Calhoun PTA
