Principal's Message
Dear MMK Families,
As we enter a new week at MMK, I want to highlight several exciting events and achievements across our campus.
This week features Senior Night during our basketball game against Lake Quinault on Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Come support our senior athletes and their families during this special recognition. Our girls' team will also travel to Sound Christian on Friday.
I'm proud to share several examples of our students' hands-on learning and leadership. Our construction class has begun work on a new pergola project that will create an outdoor learning space near the administration building. Our SkillsUSA students are preparing for their regional competition this Saturday at Elma High School, where they'll showcase their talents in various technical and leadership competitions.
Mini cheer camp participants will practice Monday at 3:00 PM before their special performance during Tuesday's basketball games. For families interested in school governance, please join us for the school board meeting Monday evening at 6:00 PM.
Congratulations to our GRIT award recipients: Jasper Garner, Harper Finch, Wyatt Bartell, Tylee Bowcutt, and Colton Gage-Brix. These students exemplify our values of Growth, Resilience, Intensity, and Tenacity.
Remember, we have a late start on Wednesday. Our secondary tutoring program continues Tuesday through Thursday from 3:00-4:30 PM for students needing additional academic support.

Love Monster in Elementary Library Specialist
Exciting art and literacy connections happened in our library this week! Students explored themes of friendship and kindness through the story "Love Monster." After reading, they created artwork reflecting on sharing and building meaningful friendships. This engaging lesson helped reinforce our school's values of empathy and positive relationships.

Secondary Tutoring - Are you in grades 7-12 and want tutoring?
Dear MMK Families,
Our secondary tutoring program continues to provide academic support for students in grades 7-12. The program runs Tuesday through Thursday from 3:00 to 4:30 PM, offering students direct assistance from teachers on assignments and assessments.
Students must attend the full session unless prior arrangements for early pickup are confirmed by parents. While this is a valuable opportunity for academic support, families need to arrange transportation at 4:30 PM, as bus service is not available. Please note that tutoring should not be used as a waiting period for after-school events.
For questions about the program, please contact the main office.
