We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
When confronted with unexpected interruptions, challenges, or difficulties, St. Bede the Venerable is said to have remarked "just unfurl the sails, and let God steer us where He will." Today was a good reminder that often times our days are not entirely our own. We are confronted by challenges and difficulties which we could not have predicted or foreseen.
Yet, when these challenges and difficulties arise, we can choose to become dismayed and discouraged, or we can - as St. Bede says - "unfurl our sails" and trust that the Lord will ultimately guide us safely to shore once more.
Despite an eventful morning today, we had a wonderful week at Father Doyle School. 8th graders competed in the Faculty vs. 8th Grade volleyball game, extracurriculars from Art Club to Dance Club to Show Choir all enjoyed meetings and rehearsals this week, our soccer teams and volleyball team successfully competed in Catholic Athletic League events, and students continued to learn and grow in our classrooms. Father Doyle continues to be vibrant Catholic community that is well and truly blessed!
One brief announcement regarding pick up and drop off procedures. Please do not bring dogs into the parking lot/pick up areas. For safety and insurance reasons, dogs are not permitted at drop off/pick up. We kindly ask that dogs remain safely in vehicles or at home. Thank you for your understanding!
Lastly, I'm looking forward to seeing many of our families tomorrow morning as 2nd graders receive their First Communion. An early congratulations to all those receiving the sacrament!

An Invitation from Fr. Woolley - 25th Anniversary of Ordination Mass and Dinner
Dear Fr. John V. Doyle Families,
You are all cordially invited to my 25th Anniversary of Ordination Mass and Dinner, Sunday June 2, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, at 2pm, here at Ss. John and Paul Church, with Dinner Reception to follow at the Quonset O Club. The actual anniversary date of my ordination is June 26 (the Feast of Ss. John and Paul!), 1999, but as this year's Ordination of Priests for our Diocese is again at the end of June, so as not to conflict with it, I thought it best to celebrate my 25th earlier in the month. I hope you and your family can attend the Mass and/or the Dinner! Tickets for the Dinner can be purchased here: bit.ly/FrWoolley25
God Bless,
Fr. Woolley
