Notes from Mrs. Riehman

Dear Lake Louise Families,

This Monday, November 11th, is Veteran's Day. To honor those who have served our country, we will be hosting a special assembly. We are honored to have two retired veterans join us for this special event. Their presence will allow us to personally thank those who have served our nation. Students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue on Monday.

World Kindness Day is coming up on November 13th, and we're gearing up to celebrate Kindness Week! Throughout the week, the students and staff will be participate in community building activities designed to promote kindness and empathy. Please see below for the specific daily themes sponsored by our Leading Lions Club.

On November 18th, the Lake Louise PTA is sponsoring the exciting Mousetrap Machine Show for our fall assembly. This interactive science assembly will teach students about simple machines in a creative and engaging way, combining science, math, and art.

Finally, this coming Thursday, November 14th is our Picture Retake Day. Your child's proofs were sent home via backpack the week of October 28th. If you're not satisfied with your child's school photo, please let their teacher know and they will be scheduled for retakes on Thursday. Additionally, any student who missed our original session, will be photographed on this day.
