New: Don’t Forget to Sign up for the iPad Protection Plan
District 196 offers an optional Protection Plan to families for $20 per iPad to cover the cost of potential theft/damage throughout the school year. The plan is free for families who qualify for the Educational Benefits Program so it is highly recommended to first apply online for that program in order to have the discount applied when purchasing the protection plan.
After Sept. 23, 2024, families without the protection plan will be responsible for costs associated with loss of or damage to a district-issued iPad. Information about the iPad protection plan for families, along with a link to the support page for EduTrak Connect, a fee payment system the district implemented earlier this month is found using these links.
New: Health Office Updates
Please make sure to fill out the medication consent form in Campus that allows your student to have Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Tums, and other over the counter creams like Hydrocortisone and Bacitracin should they need them. District nurses are unable to administer these medications without parent permission.

New: Eastview WIN Time on Wednesday Afternoons in the Learning Commons
Starting Wednesday, September 11th, students can benefit from an opportunity for academic support every Wednesday afternoon from 2:40pm – 4:15pm in room C150. Students are supported to complete their schoolwork in a supervised setting. In addition students can also utilize the WIN program to make up tests they may have missed. Students can get this approved through their teacher ahead of time and the test will be ready for them to take during WIN. Faculty and staff are available along with upper-class peer tutors (especially skilled in Mathematics). Students will identify their priorities (“What I Need” or “What’s Important Now”), create a plan for the most efficient use of their time, celebrate their accomplishments, and leave with a plan for continued success. Students do not need to sign up in advance for WIN Time. We do ask that students plan to be there for the start at 2:40pm so they can benefit from the full support. We will keep a log of students and their engagement (arrival/departure time and their focus/work while they are there). For students needing transportation home, activity buses will be available departing at 4:45pm.
New: Library & Textbook Returns Reminder
Attention Parents: Not all textbooks were returned at the end of last school year. Please take a moment to check your shelves and desks for any textbooks that need to be returned for use by this year’s students. All materials can be dropped off in the Learning Commons during school hours.
Thank you for your assistance!

Click here for Instructions for Senior Portrait Submission
To maximize the consistency of each senior portrait, our yearbook staff will be utilizing a vertical
"head/shoulder" photo. No props (athletic equipment, instruments, etc.) and no SnapChat filters will be
