All About Brazil Culminating Event: Third Grade Dream Project
On Wednesday morning, third graders shared their hands-on Brazil projects with friends and family in the Auditorium! At each station, students shared either their Rainforest dioramas, topographical maps or Brazil books. There were also QR codes for visitors to view a brief video of students talking about what they learned in this unit of study! Students also had a choice to create masks which were hanging on display boards, too! There was also a table to make a donation to Global Giving and we raised money to plant three (3) fruit trees!
We are so proud of our third graders and appreciate the third grade teachers, Ms. DaSilva and Ms. Trotta for bringing learning to life in this manner!

Congratulations to our Math Olympians!
Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade Math Olympiad teams for another great showing this year! We had seven students perform in the top 50% nationally, four students in the top 40%, two in the top 30%, nine in the top 25% and eight in the top 20%.
This year's contests were significantly more difficult than in past years, but our students rose to the occasion and performed well under the supervision and facilitation of Ms. Speros!
Look Who Stopped By Bellows!
Fifth graders were visited by Middle School Principal, Jason Doerr and Assistant Principal, Michael Priskie during a rainy indoor lunch and recess on Monday! They spent some time talking with students about their fifth grade year and answered questions about sixth grade. Students were happy to see them and spend time talking to them.

Parking Reminder from the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department
In an effort to educate drivers and continue to be safe on the roadways, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department would like to remind drivers to not park or stop over a crosswalk, and to not park less than 30 feet from a stop sign, as this can be a safety issue, and you might receive a summons.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping the roads safe!
Playground Reminder: Supervision of Children
The playground being available to families after school is a courtesy extended by the district and parents/guardians/caregivers are responsible for the behavior of their children after school. The grounds are closed to the public beginning at 6 pm.

Health Office Reminders from Nurse Krench
Allergy season is upon us! If your child requires seasonal allergy medication to manage their symptoms this time of year, please be proactive in giving this at home when possible to promote fewer disruptions during the school day. The school nurse does not keep stock seasonal allergy medication in her office and can only administer medications with an order from a child's doctor.
Additionally, if your child has orders/meds for treatment of food allergies stored in the nurse's office (including antihistamines benadryl and/or zyrtec), for safety these medications can not also be given for seasonal allergy use. If your child requires seasonal allergy medication to be kept at school, a separate order must be turned in.
