April and May 2025
Dear Families,
These last two months of school are going to fly by! Next week is Spring Break. We still have a lot to cover before the end of the year. Then the focus will be on mastering all the things learned in Kindergarten! We will also emphasize following directions and more independent work to help make the transition to first grade a little smoother.
It has been our pleasure working with you and your family this year. We hope that your child has developed a love for learning and school. Please reach out if you need anything between now and the end of the year. As always, thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education!!
One final thought....
Your child's education does not end in May. You are your child's first and most important teacher. There are lessons found in everyday life. Encourage your child to communicate clearly, read and write for fun, find patterns and words in stores and on buildings.Continue watching those fun Jack Hartman videos and Spanish ones too! Encourage independence and new experiences. Encourage open ended questions, free play and discovery. Encourage your child to try new things and that it is ok to fail...We often say, "We cannot do that...YET".

"We promise you that every day your child will learn something.
Some days they will bring it home in their backpack.
Some days they will bring it home in their heads.
And some days, they will bring it home in their hearts."

This and That.....
TOYS
- We have a school wide rule that toys stay at home. This prevents toys from being broken, lost, taken or posing as a distraction from our learning environment. Thank you!
BLUE COMMUNICATION FOLDERS
These need to go back and forth to school. Please check these daily for important information from the office or teachers. There is a keep side and a return side.
WATER BOTTLES
We encourage the use of refillable water bottles at school. Please note that only WATER should be inside-no other beverages.
Contact Information
We work hard in an effort to provide the best learning environment possible for your child. Please reach out to any of us if you have any questions or concerns. WPS has a great new communication system called Talking Points!
Check it out and let us hear from you!
