The school year is underway! Our students have successfully logged into their courses and are actively engaged in their studies. Our teachers are enthusiastic about the school year and are already commenting about how wonderful your students are.

Please note: You will be receiving your student's Semester 1 Master Agreement AGAIN. Due to AB130, all independent study schools were required to update their existing MA's to add certain provisions specified by the state of California. We must receive your signed MA back as soon as possible! Please remember that we need BOTH the student's signature AND the parent/guardians.

• The state has just confirmed that state-mandated testing will take place remotely this year.
• If your student has been identified as needing the initial ELPAC test, we will be in contact shortly to get that scheduled.
• Our CAASPP window is March 2nd-June 2nd. As a reminder, students test in grades 3-8 and 11-12. We will be in touch with more information as the date gets closer!

Every day a student is absent is a lost opportunity for learning. Too many absences not only can affect achievement for the absent student but also can disrupt learning.

If your student will be absent for any reason please let your Homeroom teacher know ASAP!

Each Friday, your Homeroom teacher will send the parent/guardian a Learning Log via Dochub. The learning log is a record that the parent/guardian will sign and initial certifying that the student listed above has "engaged in [required] educational activities" on each day that they have initialed.

Please take a minute to initial, sign, and finalized your student's learning log every Friday afternoon.

• Commit to working on your courses daily (M-F)
• Work in your courses for 4-6 hours per day.
• Attend live lessons & office hours
• Schedule specific times M-F as “school work” time
• Use the Assignment Calendar and Progress Reports as your measure of course completion
• Make frequent contact with your instructor when you need help progressing through your course
• Attend all meetings with your homeroom teacher

We want your student to be successful, and we are here to help. If your student is struggling, please let us know so that we can put the proper support in place.

Our calendar was recently approved by the school board and is available now!

Each student at Peak Prep has been assigned a homeroom teacher. Your homeroom teacher will be your primary point of communication for support.
