Today is Make a Difference Monday and the last Monday of school before the fall break and Thanksgiving day. Gratitude and giving thanks is a great way to make a difference in your life and the lives of others. This week, focus your mind every morning on something you are grateful for and see the difference it makes in your day!
Today is Take Care Tuesday- As the holidays come near and lots of days off of school, it is important to know that this isn’t always a happy time for everyone. If you’d like to learn more about helping a friend or family member who may feel extra sad or anxious, consider signing up for teen mental health first aid training with Ms. Stastny or Mrs. Shepherd.
Today is Way to Go Wednesday. Way to go Makayla Papsidero and James Fowler for taking advantage of the Scholarship workshop yesterday morning!
Today is Think about it Thursday. As mentioned before, the holidays are happy for many but not for all. How can you help others this Thanksgiving break. Can you volunteer to pass out food, mentor younger students in community or other programs? One way to show thanks is by serving others.
Today is Fun Fact Friday. Did you know that Thanksgiving became a holiday in 1863. Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday in 1863 in the midst of the Civil War in an attempt to foster a sense of American unity.
Required Resiliency Instruction
Questions should be directed to Mrs. Shepherd.
