MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Dear Caldwell Families,
As we conclude another school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make our schools special.
This past week, we honored our Teachers of the Year, Classified Employees of the Year, and our retirees. Their dedication and care truly make a difference in the lives of our children every day.
Their examples of flexibility, dedication, and meaningful relationships will have a lasting impact on Caldwell. They have nurtured young minds and touched the hearts of their students.
Thank you families for your support, encouragement, and partnership. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve your children.
"The cost of convenience is vitality. You can have a lot of things done for you in the modern world... but the feeling of being alive comes from being fully engaged in the right task..." James Clear
Wishing you a joyful summer.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTION
On April 29, Caldwell High School celebrated the National Honor Society Seniors and inducted the Junior class into the Psi Omega Chapter of the Caldwell High School National Honor Society.
The juniors took the oath to uphold the tenets of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. This marks their official entry into the prestigious organization, recognizing their achievements and commitment to making a positive impact. The seniors also received their stoles for graduation and highlighted their accomplishments during high school and plans beyond high school.
ELEMENTARY SPOTLIGHT
Wilson Elementary Food Pantry
Starting next school year, a new food pantry will be available to help support students and families. This new food pantry will be located at Wilson Elementary School.
This valuable resource will help ensure students basic needs are met. The pantry will be stocked with non-perishable items and essentials available to those who need a little extra support.
Thank you to the Albertsons Foundation! They made this project possible. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and commitment to our students' well-being.
The pantry will be open on designated days each month and is run with help of our dedicated Community Schools Staff and volunteers.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT
Explore Oregon 2025: Field Science Meets Epic Adventure!
Last month, 39 intrepid 8th grade scientists from Syringa Middle School hit the Oregon coast for four days of science, teamwork, and unforgettable memories for the Explore Oregon field expedition! From sunrise beach runs to nighttime stargazing, students explored tidepools, tested water quality, dissected squid, identified rainforest ecosystems, cleaned beaches, geocached, and learned side-by-side with scientists from places like the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center, and the outstanding natural area around the Yaquina Head Lighthouse.
Students slept in yurts at South Beach State Park, explored tidepool biodiversity at Yaquina Head, and ate ice cream at the Tillamook Creamery.
This trip was a science-powered bonding experience that helped our students grow as learners, leaders, and teammates.
Thank you to our chaperones, parent volunteers, teachers, and bus driver who made this experience possible.
