Career Day- Friday
Message from Mr. Burns
Hi Wims Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who had family members pass away while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Last week was a busy one at Wims. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our instrumental music and chorus students. Also, thank you to the parents who supported our field day. The students were happy that the weather cooperated throughout the day:)
Finally, a shout out to our PTA for putting together a great dance party on Friday. This was a result of meeting the fundraising goal for our annual Fun Run. The students had a blast!
Have a great evening!
-Mr. Burns
Career Week at Wims (Spirit Week)
We are excited for Career Day this Friday, May 31st. We wanted to alert you that we will have many representatives from our local fire and police departments visiting the school. We did not want anyone to be alarmed when you see all the vehicles in the front of the school. Please make sure your child is dropped off by 9:00 a.m because we will need the loop in the front of the school for Career Day. Our students will be rotating through presentations with their homeroom to learn about different career pathways. This is a student only event so no volunteers are needed, unless you have already volunteered to present :)
Career Spirit Week Flier: We hope your students will join in the fun each day with themes getting them thinking about their future!!
If you have any questions, please contact the front office or Mrs. Ioli.

Wilson Wims ES Parent Input Form for 2024-2025 School Year
The process of composing classes for the coming year is a task that we take very seriously. It is important to ensure a productive classroom environment for your child as well as for all children. Most importantly, the staff at Wilson Wims Elementary School want you to know that we are committed to providing classrooms in which each child will have the opportunity for learning and personal growth. As parents, you know your child best as an individual. Your insight and input can be recorded below by answering the following questions found on this form.
It should be noted that this form is not a teacher request form. This optional form is a way of offering an opportunity for those of you who wish to provide parental input.
Please complete this form no later than Friday, May 31 2024. Further confidential concerns may be addressed in writing to Mr. Burns at: Kevin_M_Burns@mcpsmd.org

Dear Wildcat Families-
Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
The students had a great time at our school dance on Friday with beach balls, a limbo, and fun music! A big thank you to Irvin Johnson for serving as our DJ and to all our Wildcat Families for helping us reach our fundraising goal back in the fall. This was a great way for all students to share in a celebration together to wrap up the school year.
There are some important RSVP deadlines coming up, so please be sure to read carefully if you are interested in any of these activities.
We are in desperate need of volunteers for Book Fair - please consider volunteering and help us get books in our students hands for summer reading.
Have a Wonderful Wildcat Week!
~ Ashley Zuraf, PTA President
