Husky Herald
Heritage Elementary Newsletter
September 2024
Greetings Heritage Huskies!
First allow me to thank you for a wonderful first week as a Husky. It is an honor to be able to lead this amazing group of students and staff. This will be our monthly newsletter, distributed at the start of each month, with the information you need for student success.
Please make note of important dates, campus requirements and other helpful information to prepare your child(ren) for a strong start and a successful year ahead.
We are committed to providing the best possible learning environment and outstanding educational learning experiences for every student in our community.
All families should have completed the Annual Enrollment Update - (new and returning) through the online registration portal. This is where you will be able to keep us updated on the best way to reach you and communicate with you about your scholar. As information changes, be sure to provide updates directly in your child's profile.
This will be an amazing school year. We believe in our scholars, we have the utmost confidence in our staff and with your active support, our students will flourish through this school year.
Looking forward to great growth and success,
Principal Antoinette M. Clark

Dismissal Process
Help us make our dismissal safe and efficient!
Know that the first weeks of school, we must be patient as the littles and even parents learn our processes.
Our car rider line forms in the front parking lot. If you are picking up your child in the car rider line, please make sure to arrive on time at 3:25pm. Place your Car Rider Number in the window. The car rider line can move quickly once students have memorized their number. Please assist them at home, reminding them and even writing it down where they will see it and recognize it, when the number is called.
Each day the process should have minutes shaved off, as we work to expedite the process to finish by 3:45pm.
Beginning Monday, 9/9, parents will need to come inside and sign their child out in the front office for late pick-up. If this is an ongoing, patterned occurrence, parents will need to provide day care options for their child(ren).
Thank you for help in expediting this process.
Campus Visitors
When lunch is open to visitors, know there is protocol that our VIPs must follow to participate. These will be shared at the front office before your first visit and must be signed for agreement. A few of the requirements include, parents only eating with their child and at the reserved parent VIP tables. Other information will be listed on the signature page. There are lunch monitors in the cafeteria that will support you and ensure your child comes to you and you all have a pleasant experience.
