Saturday 4-H Fair News Blast

Thank you to everyone who came today to help the Extension Staff, Fair Board, and volunteers clean-up and set-up for the fair. It was GREAT having such good help! Thank you!

It was fun seeing the smiles on everyone's face as they enjoyed the root beer float treats for their hard work!

Tomorrow, Sunday, August 4th is entry day for all 4-H exhibits (except livestock, rabbits, poultry, small animals & clothing), from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 4-H Flowers & Vegetables can also be entered on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00, or they can be entered Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (to be really fresh!)

Pink cards will be available at the check-in tables - one for each exhibit. Note: Exhibitor #'s are not needed on these cards.

Please remember, if your project requires any special information, as described in the fair book, be sure to include this.

Enter the 4-H exhibit hall through the big overhead garage door on the south side of the building.

When 4-Hers enter their exhibits tomorrow, Sunday, August 4th, be sure to put your name in the pot for a door prize. You will be notified by email if you are a winner and get a prize!

Stop by the Cake Auction Table, and sign up for the Cake Auction, which will be held Tuesday evening. Requirements for the Cake Auction:

1) 4-Hers must be enrolled in 4-H for the 2019 year and be age 8 to 18

2) 4-Hers must have one entry exhibited at the County Fair this year (any project area).

Page 9 of the fairbook has all the cake auction guidelines.

1/2 of the selling price goes to the exhibitor, 1/2 of the selling price goes to the 4-H Council.

Look around.....you just might see him! If you do see him, snap a photo and post it using hashtag: #NECass4H

We will be accepting nominations for Cass County Volunteer awards at the fair this year. In the past this was done after the fair, but what better time to make nominations than during the fair when so many of us witness the great things volunteers do! Nominations will be collected in the 4-H office during the week of the fair.

These awards will be presented at the Achievement Party, Sunday, November 3rd, 2019.
