END-OF-YEAR DEVICE COLLECTION
Beginning May 23, we will be collecting student devices and accessories checked out at the beginning of the year. An inventory of items will be completed for each student as well as a visual inspection of the device and several system checks to assess the working condition of the devices.
School Issued Device Information
Grades K-4 – Devices will be assessed and checked in for the summer before the end of the school year. Returning students will be reissued a device in the fall. (If you need the device for the summer, you will need to contact Amy Senethavilay to make arrangements prior to the end of the year.
Grade 5 – Devices will go home with the student for the summer and be taken to their respective middle school for the start of 6th grade. Within the first few weeks of the next school year, their current device will be assessed and exchanged for a new device.
NOTE: During the collection process, all devices will be assessed for any damage that occurred during the year. Damaged devices that were not covered by a Device Protection plan will be billed to families through Rycor, our online payment platform.
Annual Optional Device Protection
Families who enrolled in optional device protection for the 21-22 school year will have device coverage throughout the summer until Oct 3, 2022.
It’s not too late to sign up for device protection! Early enrollment for the 22-23 school year begins on May 2, 2022. Enroll in our optional device protection early (May 2 – August 1) at a reduced cost of $20 per device. Coverage begins as soon as payment is received and will provide device protection until Oct 2023!

PLEASANT VIEW FAMILY PICNIC
Picnic Information
Teachers will be sending out a survey to capture the lunch orders, as well as to capture some specific information about that day. Thank you for getting that information completed by this coming Friday, May 27.
GOOD NEIGHBORS
Please make sure you are leaving crosswalks open, not blocking drives or mailboxes, and that you are not waiting for long periods. Neighbors have also asked that you make sure you are not using their garbage cans for yourself.
We also ask that you slow down your driving through the neighborhoods and be extra vigilant about students and bikes. Although these are public streets, we would like to make sure PVE is in good standing with our surrounding neighbors.
NEW LUNCH PORTAL FOR 2022-2023
Meals will be transitioning back to paid status for the 22/23 school year.

IF Your Child Is Absent...
Please be sure to call into the office or email Jenene Hill at hill.jenene@westada.org if your child is out absent.
If your child has an appointment, please be sure to get a verification form from the provider to allow the school to change the coding for attendance. If your child has a standing appointment weekly/monthly, you can get the letter from the provider for the length of time to share with the office to allow for proper coding.
*Per district policy, an unverified absence will convert to truancy unless verbal communication is received from a parent/guardian within 48 hours (counts against attendance standard).
Thank you for helping us maintain accuracy and account for all students.
