Thunderbird Update

Thunderbird Families,

Congratulations to our Loteria Grand Prize Winners, Amariss Lopez, Makayla Orta, and Jakob Garcia-Johnson! ENLACE sponsored our first ever Loteria day this past week. We had great participation, with both students and staff enjoying the day. Thank you Mr. G and Ms. Salopek for organizing this event. Also a huge thank you to the Hernandez Family, Perez-Luna Family, and Peter Piper Pizza on North Main...your sponsorships helped make this event possible!

We are so grateful for the families that were able to stop by for Turkey Day lunch! In total, just short of 100 families visited our building. It was an amazing day!

As some of you may know, NM Dept. of Transportation is about to begin a Widening and Improvement project for NM 101 (University Ave.) from South Main to Avenida de Mesilla. This project is anticipated to take almost two years to complete, and will impact traffic flow and access to Zia Middle School.

A public meeting is scheduled to review the timelines of the project and the anticipated modifications to traffic flow along the length of the project. You are invited to attend this meeting Monday, November 18 at 5:30 in the Zia Middle School cafeteria. Please see flyer below.
