Titans' Times

There are 5 days of school left until we are on Christmas Holidays! The excitement is alive in the hallways of the school, and we have some fun spirit days planned for next week!

We are blessed to be able to provide for so many families due to the generosity of all the Legal Titans families. The hampers will be delivered on Wedbedsay morning, and 28 families benefit from this special campaign. As we journey through Advent, we are reminded that we are called to prepare and be ready for Jesus, and that can happen through our actions and words and how we treat one another. Simply we are like Jesus by being kind always. As part of being a Titan, we remind the students daily through our school-wide expectations to be respectful, responsible, safe, and proud, and that's just what we do when preparing for Jesus to come into our lives.

Affirmations are positive statements that we can say to ourselves to help contradict the negative thoughts we may have. As joyous as the Christmas season is, it can also be stressful - activities happening at unusual times, obligations to events, the pressure of gifting, managing different family dynamics, and so much more! When we experience a lot of stress, it is easy for our minds to create negative statements, thoughts, and feelings - which is not necessarily what we want to be feeling around this festive holiday season. These stressors and negative thoughts are not what Christmas is all about. By practicing affirmations this Christmas season, we can focus on Christmas's true meaning and those we hold near and dear to our hearts.

Every day leading up to Christmas, we are sharing an affirmation with your child about the holiday season that you can use at home:

Monday: Christmas is special, no matter who’s near, The love we have will always be here.

Tuesday: I dance like an elf with a goofy grin, because holiday cheer always starts from within!

Wednesday: Even if gifts aren’t under the tree, the love around me is all I need

Thursday: I’ll focus on joy, love, and cheer, And fill my heart with warmth this year.

Friday: With gratitude and hope so clear, I’ll finish strong and start the new year!

Below is the bulletin for this week. We are entering the Third week of Advent!

Adoration will be this Tuesday, Dec.17th at 7pm

Christmas reconciliation is this Thursday, Dec.19th at 7pm.

A lot of hard work and dedication went into this year's Christmas Concert. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make it a success and so much fun. Your support was invaluable and deeply appreciated. A special thanks to all the staff and students who worked tirelessly these past few weeks in preparation. Finally, thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this year's concert.

We are overwhelmed with the GENEROSITY from Legal School Families. Donations came rolling in all week, and the town food drive was also a great success. Thank you to the JH students for walking around town and collecting the items for the food drive. Congratulations to Grade 1/2 for winning the schoolwide competition of a pizza party (they were in the lead with 300 points)! The deliveries of the Christmas Hampers will go out next Wednesday morning, and our hearts are overflowing with the compassion and generosity of our Titan families!

The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor. Proverbs 22:9
