Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, + Belonging 2024-2025
DEI+B
We are pleased to be offering this network for our partners in Region 9!
We will facilitate conversations for ANY teacher, leader, or support staff person who works in education to engage in conversations about DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, and BELONGING. This network focuses on creating a safe space in our schools for ALL of our students.
We will meet virtually four times throughout the year from 8:00-9:00 am.
Please see below for the dates and more information. There is no registration required. You will receive contact hours based on your attendance.

Objectives
With OLAC's Culturally Responsive Practices modules as our foundation, here are the objectives for the DEI+B Network
To provide a safe and interactive learning community through courageous conversations that support educators with resources and applicable knowledge to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging personally and professionally.
Recognize the importance of acquiring students' prior knowledge
Recognize the importance of engaging families and communities as a part of an educator’s culturally responsive practices
Examine the curriculum and supporting materials to identify opportunities to integrate student culture into the school and classroom
